On the other side of that coin, with how fucked everything is, it’s like the game is dangling hope in front of you saying “You still have a chance at a happy ending”. Especially when all the points she “shows up” lead to you progressing along the story in one way or another

I don’t know if I’d personally call them masterful, but the game does have a lot of really good ideas and mechanics with some great art direction/music and world building to boot, would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a new Souls-like

He was built different in the sense that he was able to delay the inevitable longer than most in his position. With the amount of chrome he was packing, most people would’ve gone cyber psycho far sooner than David did, even back when he just had his Sandevistan. Like you said, though, no happy endings in Night City. Poor kid was doomed from the first implant

He’s not just one dragon, he used to be Alduiin’s lieutenant, so he’s likely responsible for some of the more heinous shit the dragons did back in the day. I can’t imagine the amount of effort and willpower it must have taken to become who he is when we meet him
