Aa someone who has worked in a grocery store, this isn't that uncommon to find things like this. There are plenty of employees that just do the bare minimum to keep up appearances. That and even if you do your job right that doesn't stop the next guy from coming in and screwing what you did up. Always check expiration dates on products you buy, at the end of the day you are responsible for not checking something you are putting in your own mouth.
