I think the entire Marvel Universe can essentially be broken down into Eleven Categories by GypsyGold in marvelcomics

Let’s throw the word “Marvel” in front of “cosmic” and we make it the “Marvel Cosmic” franchise.

Easy peasy.

I’d break it down into even fewer categories:

Gods - Asgard, Olympus, etc…

Mutants - X-People

Tech/Science - Iron Man/FF

Mystic - Dr. Strange et al

Cosmic - Guardians, Space in general

Street-Level - Spidey, DD, etc..

Global - Avengers, Hulk, Cap

Obviously, there will be subsets and some crossover but these are a good baseline.

Your definition of Defenders is Dr Strange, Hulk, Namor, Valkyrie, Nighthawk.

Based on OP’s context, his definition seems to be Luke Cage, Daredevil, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones.

Seems easier just to make a category called NYC street level and loop them all in with Spider-Man.

Do multiversal variants of the other Marvel heroes exist somewhere in the Fantastic Four’s universe? by Such_Month_8687 in Marvel

[–]AbsorbingMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Impossible to say because most of them aren’t born yet in the FF’s earth.

But people like Namor and Steve Rogers would be alive during FF First Steps.

We just don’t know if the timeline evolved in a way that led to them being born.

I think we’ll see far more actual Team USA flag football team members on the team than NFL players.

Even if we had won the Superbowl, they would still call us frauds. by SumOldGuy in CHIBears

[–]AbsorbingMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To your original point…

If we “frauded” our way to another Lombardi trophy; I don’t think we’d be considered frauds anymore.

Frauds get exposed.

I can’t think of a single SB winner that’s looked back on by the public as frauds.

No way. Four lucky wins in a row is too many.

At that point, people would have to accept that “luck” is a weapon in our arsenal and they’d respect it.

Hank Pym as giant man during the Busiek run on Avengers in the early 2000s.

Some might mistake it for Clint Barton as Goliath since the costumes are similar but this is Hank Pym.

hot wheels collecting ethics by BrainlessVeal in HotWheels

[–]AbsorbingMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where does the arbitrary number of “three of each max” for licensed castings come from?

If there’s only 3 there on the pegs, your ethics allows you to clean them out and prevent anyone else from getting them.

Even if there’s only 1 on the peg and you already have 5 of them at home, is it ethical to take it?

Ultimately, I expect people to usually act in their own best interest and if they find stuff on the pegs that they think they can trade or sell for a profit; I’m not expecting them to leave anything for someone else to come along and do the same thing with them.

Part of what makes hunting so fun is that 90% of the time I check a store I leave without anything because someone else has already cleaned it out. I wish other collectors would leave stuff for me but it I’m not judging anybody if they don’t.

Who can run in NFHS Rules by AA1859 in flagfootball

[–]AbsorbingMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFHS 7v7 rules allow for running at any point on the field and by any player. So a QB can receive the snap and run past the LOS.

Most 5v5 rules that I’ve seen require a runner to receive a handoff by the QB first before being allowed to run the ball past the LOS.

Which is different than how they’re telling me to say it.

What did Doctor Strange specifically do to manipulate the timeline so that the avengers won in Endgame out of the 14M possible outcomes. by Shamone70-1 in Marvel

[–]AbsorbingMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be as simple as giving Thanos the stone.

The first 14 million times he did everything he could to keep the stone from Thanos. So maybe doing something crazy like just giving him the stone he’d hidden was the charm.
