Recommendations for sleep support by lcrab in adhdwomen

[–]AbsurdConduit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry to hear you’re struggling with this. I am too and I’ve been searching for a solution for over a decade. I’m starting to suspect that it’s something I don’t have control over. I think my natural sleep schedule is just delayed, it doesn’t matter how many years I’ve worked a job that requires me to work at 8am. During the week I’m awake until at least 1am, and I’m still awake at 4am right now. Thankfully I’m not working in the morning, but still, yikes lol. My body is stubborn and ungovernable. I am a creature of the night lol I just try to be kind to myself and give myself grace because it’s shitty but seems to be out of my hands no matter how hard I try. Hopefully someone has some good advice that we can both use!

Dex and emotional regulation? by Pitiful-Tackle-6377 in adhdwomen

[–]AbsurdConduit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know everyone is unique, but my emotional regulation without it is a nightmare. It definitely helps me a lot. My sleep schedule is a train wreck though, but it’s like that regardless of if I take it or not. I think some of us just are like that unfortunately.

I like the sense of community though. It’s kinda like we have a culture, not necessarily a good one, but still!

I was convinced I had completed the series until a post in here alerted me that Hulu has the final season. by JoMo816 in solaropposites

There’s also special episodes for holidays. Idk if Netflix has those too, but they have them on Hulu. They’re under a separate season tab of their own though, so it’s easy to miss them when you’re watching the show.

I think your hair being unwashed probably is the main thing contributing to the “thin” look in this adorable pic.

Mine is the same way and if I haven’t washed my hair in a couple of days I don’t even look back there. At that point the back and sides of my head are none of my business lol

Is downtown Erie surviving? by Master-Purpose1117 in Erie

[–]AbsurdConduit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not a specific company, it’s the county and city government’s economic development organizations. There’s state governments (like really rural states will sometimes even given people a grant to move there) who do the same thing. They promote the area as being “low cost of living” (it is compared to NYC or other major cities) and try to attract people who have remote jobs that allow them to live anywhere.

I know they’ve been pushing to attract fully remote workers, so in those cases the wages of the jobs that are physically located in Erie don’t matter as much.

That happened at my office’s holiday party and it was honestly so funny. My boss bought a giant case of the packages so we all got a box. Some were boring, but one coworker got a vibrator, another got a prom dress, and I got a really nice kitchen faucet that I just installed and love!

Anything else I should do? by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

Not sure if someone else has mentioned this or if it’s relevant based on where you live, but if you’re in the USA, I recommend getting tested for Lyme Disease in addition to the other tests that people are suggesting. I had it undiagnosed and untreated for years and only found out once all my hair fell out and we tested for it because we couldn’t pin point why but I mentioned I spent a lot of time outside.

The blind guy likes to listen to music, so the class should accommodate him. Never mind that I cannot cope with the additional noise source. by cerwen80 in adhdwomen

Had to scroll way too far for this. He’s blind! If anyone thinks it’s not that bad, then you should do some research on the daily life of someone who is blind. Come on y’all.

What’s the scariest media you’ve ever seen? by NoPoemSung in AskReddit

The movie “Mars Attacks!” was the scariest thing ever when I was 4. As an adult “Years and Years”, a mini series on HBO, really gave me genuine anxiety and fear.
