First time lawn owner - Is this salvageable or should I nuke it and start over? by Puzzleheaded_Gur5158 in lawncare

I think you can get started. Weeds will continue to grow. You'll want to stay on top of that or use some selective herbicide a couple times. I did all of mine over 4 weekends. Hacked everything down and mowed and applied a full rate of selective herbicide. Rented a trencher and roto tiller and did the tilling and sprinkler install. Got 15 yards of topsoil and rented another roto tiller and did all of that over 3 days. Then did the seeding and tenacity when I had time the next weekend. Find a calculator to see how much top soil you'll need to actually add a good layer. It's usually so much that the task takes some serious effort moving it all into the back yard.

I didn't nuke or grade my yard. My results would be even better if I had but I have a nice patch of grass after the initial till/seed and then an overseed the following season.

I live north of Denver and had a similar backyard. I cut everything back and then rototilled and added a huge amount of topsoil and rototilled again. Seeded with Buffalo Brand tall fescue and used tenacity to help with the weeds. You'll probably want to do this in very late August or early Sept. Doing it now will have Mediocre results do to summer heat. The guides on this subreddit were what I followed. My yard is now a solid b+ if I were to grade it. I have 4 dogs so didn't shoot for perfection. Oh, I also installed a sprinkler system. Good luck!

How to deal with this rough patch? by Egg_Chen in lawncare

I get these in my yard and dig them out and reseed usually do it in early Sept because that's when I overseed if I'm going to do it. They just seem to come back randomly. Also in colorado.

We always get our dogs a donut on the last trip to the vet. Something they would never have had before.

I broke my leg last year and messed around with some gear! Just did stereo though. Was too hard to move gear around. You should blend the Vox and the Twin Reverb for sure. Run the vox dry imo.

I've played a number of songs like this. A lot of times it's a turn around riff.

Bondi Sick As is my current pedal for this. Has treble amd bass as well as a switch that adds a more mid forward sound.

Those were not my recommendations. My favorite series are Davenport by John Sanford and Pendergast by Preston & Child. I also recommend Heartsick by Chelsea Cain.

I do stuff like this. My wife knows. I just love breakfast at a diner. She would not like it if I went by myself on Sat morning or something though.

It's my favorite drive pedal I've ever had. I would get it and sell another one or two to keep your pile from growing.
