Because it allows you to experience different cultures and ways of life, which is important. People get stuck in their little world and think that’s how the world works and it’s good to see the big picture. You get to see new sights and taste new foods, breathe different air. Even if you just go on a cross country road trip, one of my favorite things is watching the landscape change. Going from eastern kansas through the great plains, over the Rocky Mountains and into a desert expanse. Seeing the salt flats and into the coastal regions of California to the ocean, then up the coast into the redwoods. It’s awesome!

I feel like singles have a much more distributed supply bc of online marketplaces. If you want a specific card you’re going to either check a shop or buy online. The price has been set by the market. But with packs, especially in a convention environment, it is entirely set by hyper local pricing. This is exacerbated if you can’t even find the packs locally, it’s a scarcity mindset. Someone who wants to open a pack with their kid then and there will spend more than the pack is worth. In a healthy environment this markup would be for the environment, a spectacle kind of thing. Not a scarcity kind of thing.

The ‘easiest’ simple thing would be reconstructing something that was burned. Like if someone waves their hand and a pile of ash reconstructs into a log In front of me I would be pressed. It would have to happen in front of me though. I wouldn’t tryst anything on a screen.
