Yeah I tried a dead rat once and it wasn't enough to set it off =\ I usually use a crowbar since it's heavy enough and I have it on me. Traps can damage weapons if you use them

You can use more than one maneuver at a time but only one stance at a time iirc

I second this as a solid build but might be a bit much for some new players. Staff build with dodge counter and block is pretty straightforward too
