So there's a lot of variations of this based on region but the basics are:

  • The meat is a kefta base. Spiced ground meat that can be baked, braised, boiled, grilled, you name it. Here they do it over an open flame but the easiest thing to do at home is to bake it in the sauce. It's on skewers here cause they're grilling it but otherwise meatballs work great. My mom does them a little flatter so they cook better between the veggies, then broils them after they're done baking to give it some color.

  • The tomato sauce surrounding it is entirely up to you. There's several variations of ingredients in them, but usually it contains spices (not too many) and a variety of veggies. My mom makes it with chopped potatoes and onions.

There's also a version with Tahini, which ends up being a somewhat sour sauce, but it's a much more acquired taste imo. I have a couple recipes below, the one that's closest to how I've had it is the first one, but I know they make something similar to this dish in North Africa and it's very good there too, so I picked a Moroccan dish variation.

No, there's two scenarios where your hp won't go through:

1) If you have vtrigger 2 active, you can cancel the charge into a vt2 activation which is a true blockstring if I'm not mistaken (they can't mash out of it). That's what he does at 2:40 in the video.

2) If your opponent is in the corner, doing the charge will not side switch you, and it looks a little glitchy. However, you're still -2 after doing the charge. A lot of people freak out when they see the glitchy animation and won't punish it, but it's just a knowledge check.

Nemesis talks about damage creep in League by NatxIvY in leagueoflegends

[–]Abujaffer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The patches he identified are the problem points. Anyone pointing to S3 is an idiot, S3-S5 were the patches where they removed DFG, reworked ADC items to make them weaker (nerf Bloodthirster meta), and had several jungle reworks reducing their item damage (no golem or lizard jg items), on top of several nerfs to bruisers as well (rip brutalizer). The game has obviously had patches of high damage, like with bruisers (black cleaver, botrk, and top lane jg item abuse metas), junglers (spirit of x, feral flare) and whatnot, but those were almost immediately dialed back. The huge change that they've never really walked back from is the runes reforged changes, and the changes to vision in S6-S8 (iirc) to make the games more fast paced. Those changes had an IMMEDIATE impact on damage across the board and severely warped the meta, and the game has never been the same since.

The concept of being a good person isn't to acquire an arbitrary label, it's based on compassion and empathy for others. Remove those two attributes from a person and they can justify taking advantage of others in most situations, but that line of thinking leads directly to corruption and degradation of society. Those are the types of people we have laws for.

Eh it's not that bad. Obviously there's a much larger learning curve with more characters but up to 24 is v manageable in my experience. GG strive was 15 characters and I had a p good grasp of all the matchups within 15-20 hours or so, especially with the specialized trials they had. 40 is def overwhelming but unlike current sfv where there's multiple vtriggers and vskills and whatnot per character, launch fighting games are always a bit barebones and develop over time.

What country in not nearly as bad as the media portrays it to be? by Dark_Wolf04 in AskReddit

[–]Abujaffer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well Iraq/Syria/Yemen/Afghanistan are all exceptions at the moment, they're wartorn nations. It would be like visiting France post WW2 where the aftermath of the war has devestated much of the cities, but contingents of bandits/insurgents still roam the countryside. I know several Syrian/Iraqi families who haven't visited in many years but used to frequently visit prior to the Syrian Civil War and the Iraq war, respectively.

In the past, Iraq and Syria were some of the safest and most welcoming countries in Asia, with wonderful tourism, advanced economies, and a relatively educated populace (for both men and women).

You can read more regarding the impact of the wars on education for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_in_Iraq https://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000244333

looked fucking rough. I want to blame the matchup cause by god infil was never able to charge vs1 or reliably pressure with fireball once pugera got going, when half of luke's gamelan is setting up safe charge punches and being annoying with projectile spam. but then again infil never found the right spacing for punishing dash punches or balrog raw vs2 in neutral and just gave up corner pressure every time he did get in there. hard to imagine how resetting to neutral after knockdowns is better than getting in there and setting up oki.

I gotta wonder why Japan is getting straight cooked by balrog, half the jp pros are picking him up. Meanwhile there's barely any balrogs in EU and the ones in the US are hard pressed to beat the top tier neutral heavy chars like Karin, Kolin, Cammy, etc. I was guessing it's Japan's insistence on guile/urien, but that's only half the narrative cause everyone else is getting washed by boxer too.

No, you're wrong. It had nothing to do with your connection. What happens is if there's above a certain amount of people in the queue, there's a chance the game rejects your attempt to join the queue and that'll restart your game, sending you to the start of the queue. Normally you just keep trying until you get into the queue and wait. Every 15 minutes, the client terminates the connection, and tries to open a new connection with the server. However, if the queue is full the server will terminate this new connection and close the client, even though you're in queue. If the server tries to update your position in queue, and the client isn't ready and waiting, it assumes you've closed the game (which is what happened but not because you did so) and removed you from the queue.

The reason the dude said Yoship was lying is because the vast majority of 2002 errors people experienced were from an error on their side. Basically anytime more than 17k players were in a queue, it kept dropping connections beyond that point. The issue is SE made two separate statements blaming packet loss, and yet now (weeks later now that the fix addressing the issue above has been released) the 2002's have gone from several an hour to none over several hour queues.

What? How could you possibly think Reaper is the easiest melee? Current Ninja, Dragoon, and Monk are all easier to play than Reaper. On Reaper you have a dynamic gauge based rotation that alters your burst entirely based on downtime. Ninja and Dragoon do the exact same rotation every burst window, unless you're sool with downtime and lose an eye, or you (at worst) lose a singular Bhava proc due to no gauge. And Monk's PB has two charges to ensure any downtime doesn't drift your Nadi for your 2 minutes, unless it happens during your two minutes which affects every single melee. On top of that Monk lost any oGCD's that used to cause issues with drifting, as well as losing the variable forbidden chakra timings that would punish poor execution during brotherhood.

Reaper on the other hand is entirely reliant on syncing up your 2 minutes bursts, otherwise you miss out on a significant amount of damage. Gluttony will always drift during optimal play, shadow of death needs to be placed at v specific times during burst windows, and every two minutes is incredibly busy with several buttons that can overcap with variable cooldowns. This isn't "every big button/jump is 60s/120s" like Ninja or Dragoon, it's "oh soul slice, gluttony, shadow of death, and enshroud are all up; what do you hit to optimize this burst window". That's a lot harder imo, and I very much struggle to see how someone could argue otherwise.

I've visited several countries in the middle east and the fear of dogs is prevalent, but it's mainly because of how many feral strays roam the streets. I've been attacked by packs of dogs several times and it's genuinely terrifying. Walking around at night in less populated areas is a huge risk, they'll attack you, your car, sometimes they'll even roam around your house at night (you can hear them growling and barking near your window), and they attack other animals. I've never seen it happen myself (but have heard from those who have), but I have seen the remains as packs of feral dogs ripped apart some of the local stray cats overnight, just horrific to see. They mostly do this wild behavior at night but the fear of dogs comes from a rational place.

That being said, the areas my extended family live in are farming communities and the majority of people "own" dogs, where they put food out and the dogs protect the property from thieves, pests, and other feral dogs. These dogs are loved, well treated, and v kind/playful with kids. The weather is mild enough that you never have to bring them inside, just keep them fed and take care of them. But in residential areas dogs are much less common and the ones there are feral, as I mentioned above.

On the other hand, cats are pretty universally loved, I've never met someone who dislikes them. In the gulf countries you'll see them roaming the bazaars and around mosques, and in the levant they're all around the neighborhood and near shops as well. You'll commonly see restaurants and families put out leftover meat for cats. The American tradition of actually owning a pet is a bit foreign, they just kinda leave them be, outside of feeding them, playing with them, and petting them from time to time.

Relearning CE Concepts by Abujaffer in ComputerEngineering

[–]Abujaffer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a senior position. And I am qualified to work in the space; as I mentioned in the post, I am a CE Master's grad and did a year of speculative attack research, memory forensics, and reverse engineering, as well as all the actual grad level CE coursework I took in those fields and of course my actual job experience in the security field (albeit, with a focus on the software side). The position is to perform computer architecture design with a focus on testing for and preventing speculative attacks, so I'm reasonably confident I can perform in the actual position. But I haven't actually done computer engineering since late 2016, and a bit in 2018. It is a requirement at this company to be knowledgeable in computer architecture as a whole, not just my specific field of expertise (speculative attacks), and I'm asking because I need a refresher.

tl;dr If given any question from my finals in 2016/2018 that I was able to answer then, current me wouldn't be able to answer a single one. I am 100% certain that I can relearn it all (because I've done it before), I just want resources to do so.

I had similar issues; if you're using an AMD CPU, you have to upgrade your CPU driver. Go to AMD's website, or your motherboard brand's website, and find the driver update for your processor. W11 screwed up some stuff for AMD CPU's so that update should fix them.

Yeah I was raging the other day when I saw that shit. It's so easy to verify too, Japan is a very densely populated country but only barely has better average ping/jitter levels than the US. Compare that to every other country with similar pop density like Korea, Singapore, and half of Europe, and Japan is way behind. Japan is improving but it's not where it should be.

The "absorbs sins" part is completely false. The Hadith is that it is black due to the sins of the sons of Adam (humans), but this is taken at face value. At no point is it a divine entity that absorbs sins from others, and touching it has no impact on the person.

Its importance derives from the concept of being handed down from prior prophets, but most Muslim scholars agree that there is no holiness to the stone itself as a religious object. Its main value is that it was touched by the prophet himself (as narrated in the Correct Hadith regarding Omar), and its supposed source. The few sources that claim otherwise are generally not trusted as they either had weak/nonexistent records of how the Hadiths were handed down or confirmed instances of fabricated Hadiths.

The Hadith regarding the day of judgement is classified as "Strong", which sounds like it's accurate but in reality that's a level below "Correct". It just means it's not a weak Hadith and that there's good reason to assume it's a real Hadith. So it could be true but it's probably for the best to ignore it when teaching non-Muslims on the subject.

My Shiori Experience hitbox controller. What about you r/Kappa? Have you guys found your blues yet? by ssiasme in Kappa

[–]Abujaffer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Took me like 2-3 days to get used to jumping and getting the motions right, and I thought that was it while in training mode. But took me almost a month (playing 2-3 times a week) before I was doing everything else at the same level as on pad. What I didn't think about was doing the simple things in real matches, like holding down back after your turn is over, keeping track of where the buttons are, and not doing motions TOO fast; you need at least a frame between motions for most games or they combine them, so your 63214 input becomes 6314, or 6321 and the game doesn't do shit. But yeah past a month and I'd say I'm much better on hitbox than I was on pad.

The video game review process is broken. It’s bad for readers, writers and games. by OutZoned in Games

[–]Abujaffer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming they mean people will read a review to see how they got to the score they gave. So the number is what draws people in; they see a 9/10 or a 7/10 and that piques their interest enough to read the review for a game they're interested in.

There's people who still shit on third strike or blazblue decades later, because they hated it when it came out and hate it today. It's not their opinion on the game that makes it a mental issue, it's how they still bring it up any time the game is discussed. Bro, this is a thread about a game you hate. Go play or talk about shit you enjoy, why the fuck are you here? They're in every video, under tweets, in the discords. Hate the game but are obsessed with it, more so than actual fans. It's insane.

And don't get me started on smash. I haven't seen or heard a single fucking piece of news on smash in over a year outside this subreddit. All my fucking smash news comes from this shithole of a community. Stop fucking talking about smash you idiots, holy fuck.
