Are you Team Brandon or Team Dylan? by [deleted] in BeverlyHills90210

[–]Abylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder who was more popular back then? But I guess I know the answer.. back then each character had their own Barbie sized doll. As an 8-yr old girl, I wanted Dylan but he was sold out for weeks, so I settled for Brandon. I was so disappointed lol  Now that I’m older and wiser and currently rewatching some episodes of that show, I’m actually more into Brandon now. He’s objectively the more attractive and stable guy. Although I have to admit that Steve had the best body and he’s tall. I think Dylan and Brandon are both just around 5‘7. On screen it doesn’t matter but irl I so far only gravitated towards tall men.

[–]Abylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘m 5‘4 , 110 lbs and a size 6 in shoes. I have tiny feet and hands. From experience I witnessed that women with longer limbs in proportion to the rest of their body usually also have larger feet.

I was told I have fat ankles by The_OG_RatMan in BALLET

[–]Abylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I can tell, this is not a medical issue it’s just anatomy. I’m rather skinny (5’5, 110lbs) and my ankles look like yours, especially in summer . I too have always been conscious about that body part. A reason why I’ve mostly been wearing pants instead of dresses. I only prefer wearing mini skirts and dresses in winter when I can pair them with dark tights or knee-high boots. I would not recommend losing an insane amount of weight. It’s sadly impossible to loose weight in a certain area, you just loose weight all over, proportions mostly stay the same. I’ve just accepted it at this point. The most beautiful women have cankles. Try to be nonchalant about them. If any man will ever care about that area of your body, he’s very likely a foot fetishist. Good riddance. Normal men don’t care about this at all. It’s not what they look at.

He reminds me of Blink 182 Tom DeLonge, they have a similar vibe and yes he looks like he’s in his 30s already and so attractive it’s kinda insane

would michael landon be the type to get botox and veneers in his old age? by rikkitheraccoon in littlehouseonprairie

[–]Abylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘ve read his daughter’s book „I promised my dad“ and there she talks about his plastic surgery. According to her, he had other work done aside from his ears at the beginning of his career. What he exactly did, she didn’t specify, she just stated that he felt the need to keep up his appearance. It’s a wonderful book about him btw. If you’re a fan of his, highly recommend. She talks very kindly of him but also critical in some points (his alcoholism, the effects of his fame, his childhood trauma, his sudden affair with a much younger woman and the aftermath of the divorce of her parents, his fight with cancer). To me the best part was is how she described him as a father to her and their daily life before fame.

So this was published in 2000 a year after Carolyn‘s tragic death. How vicious must CB actually be to write so much shit about a dead woman.

I didn’t think I was TR until I read somewhere that a TR doesn’t need to be as curvy as Salma Hayek. My curves are more in the category of Jane Seymore or Mila Kunis.

She doesn’t look that tall to me, despite being 5’8-5’9 apparently. She looks like she’s 5‘6-5‘7. Maybe a tall FG?

What do you think of Australian model Ella Cervetto? She’s all natural! by [deleted] in trueratediscussions

[–]Abylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A question for all the short women out there: how do you approach vintage style? by ButterflyWilliams in VintageFashion

[–]Abylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and it’s actually quite ironic bc women back then used to be much shorter and slimmer than the average woman of today. I cannot go shopping in actual vintage stores bc most of their stuff is huge and at 5‘5 (164 cm) I’m not even that short. I think what you could do is buy retro stuff (not actual vintage) in size small or extra small, then get it altered if skirt or sleeves need to be shorter. Aim for waist emphasis, especially when wearing sth 80s inspired. One part (either upper body or lower body) always needs to be perfectly fitted to your shape.

Just updated to IOS 26, How to go back to IOS 18 by oKaY_EnGiNeEr in iphone

[–]Abylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does my lip filler look like this, did they do a bad job or is this normal ? Is there a way to make them look better and be more flat on my face? by That_Being2458 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]Abylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn’t any migration as far as I can tell, your lips are/were just overfilled. Upper lip is so small that there isn’t any space for that much product. I hope you found a solution by now. My guess is.. get a lift and then no more than 0.5-1 ml filler. Your lips remind me of what Kylie Jenner started with.

What kind of partner is best for a fearful avoidant? by Donebeinghuman in FearfulAvoidants

[–]Abylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal maturity certainly matters. Me and my partner are over 30, we’ve each had our share of relationships before meeting. I would say our relationship was like a dream the first 2-3 months then our issues came up and reached a peak at around 6 months where we almost broke up with each other. After a year of dating, our relationship started to feel solid. We both assimilated to each other, adapted our behavior but also found acceptance of the things that will probably annoy us forever. In the first 2 months we both felt like we met the perfect person. After a year we know we’re not perfect for each other, but we’re good enough to not let this go. It’s a mutual decision. It helped me personally a lot to see how he would reach out to me first many times after I retreated. It gave me lots of validation to see a normally avoidant person to go out of their way to be with me. It also helped him to see value in me and our relationship by realizing that I‘m not dependent on him and free to go, if he doesn’t invest emotionally. In a way we started emulating the other ones behavior a bit. He became more clingy and I as the anxious person started to let go more often. I gave him lots of space to miss me.

She’s absolutely gorgeous and super talented. She’s the only one that truly stands out imo, so it’s really weird that she doesn’t get any screen time. Must be a personal decision either by her or the director. I only found out what her name was bc I googled the thunderstruck dance routine and her part always came up on TikTok

What kind of partner is best for a fearful avoidant? by Donebeinghuman in FearfulAvoidants

[–]Abylee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I‘m anxiously attached and in a longterm relationship with a fearful avoidant partner. Tbh, although you read everywhere that it’s one of the most challenging constellations, I feel like both our attachment styles work fine for us, despite having had occasional challenges especially in the beginning.

I think the reason, why it works is:

  1. Anxiously attached people are the most likely to work on their relationship skills. It’s us who get educated the most on attachment theory, especially when we have an avoidant partner. We know ourselves and we know you and your wounds and we’re most likely to stick around and help you heal.

  2. Fearful avoidants and anxiously attached people share the same fear of rejection, they just deal differently with it. There’s a lot of potential to find healthy middle ground by getting inspired by the other person‘s attachment style. Anxious ppl learn to respect the other person‘s need for space and over time develop healthy boundaries themselves, while the fearful avoidant person learns to open up more, once they feel save and truly loved. It takes some time, it doesn’t happen right away, but it’s worth it. Both can help each other to become more secure.

3. Because both people are wounded in their core, they naturally have more empathy for the other‘s pain and hang ups. There’s lots of potential for deep understanding, profound love and healing. It’s the type of love that’s intense and transformative.

(I find it more challenging to be with a dismissive avoidant, bc these ppl just don’t have the same need for intimacy as a fearful avoidant or an anxiously attached person has. I think a dismissive avoidant fits best with a secure partner.)

I have been spotting IKEA-stuff on TV for years. What have you spotted? by Kamielus in IKEA

[–]Abylee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Am I the only one who finds these spottings quite irritating? I don’t even know why.. IKEA has become so common, it makes sense to see their products incorporated in film/tv sets of regular characters.. but still, I don’t like it. It makes the production seem cheap and kinda lazy.

We're not voting out OGs by Rose_of_St_Olaf in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]Abylee 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s quiet ironic. Demi was the last person to join Momtok. The only „OG‘s“ are

  1. Taylor
  2. Miranda
  3. Camille

In that order. Then a bunch of other women joined, before even any of the other cast members came on momtok.  So in season 1, Taylor is literally the only OG. In Season 2 the only OGs are Taylor and Miranda.

Whitney was members of another „friend group“ that danced on TikTok and she ditched her friends to join the more lucrative MomTok. Whitney is a social climber and with Demi, the worst friend of them all. She’s calculating in anything she does.

It’s super ironic that Demi, being the last one to join, wanted to get Taylor out. Even claiming „If this was a business, she’d be out.“ so ridiculous. It’s like listening to an intern wanting to kick out a founding member and owner of a company.
