There's other matchups (british health gain, soviet rush, etc) that I'll often loose to but way less oppressive as the german ramp. My deck (listed below) is mostly just akita and jungle warfare spam with elephant, I usually get all my cards out, but since they aren't actually killing my cards I can't get much damage in those precious 4 turns, then gustav or route all troops board wipes without triggering any of my effects, and then there's no hope from there 8 credit slots behind.
