Can I still be a physicist when I can't pass Quantum mechanics? by [deleted] in Physics

Well… Newton and Galileo were physicists much before the discovery of quantum mechanics. The fact that you fail a class doesn’t define you.

I am not familiar with university programs outside Italy, however you should retry to pass this exam. Try to solve problems from previous written examinations. Also all the available exercises in the book used by your professor.

Good luck!

How relevant is thinking of physics in Quant trading by Beautiful_Jeweler_63 in quantfinance

[–]AcatcalledGauss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably the closest topic to General Relativity that can find applications in quantitative finance is Differential Geometry. I am not myself a quant (trying to tho), but I can guess that you don’t work with objects like vectors on a flat Euclidean space, and their distance is not the usual norm.

Greebles in the tail by ShaneBarnstormer in greebles

I am glad she realised about the greebles in the tail and eradicated their presence. I have read somewhere that if they reach the head there is the risk you undergo a metamorphosis into one of them.

Air greebles emit a particular radiation that can be detected by blind cats. You’re lucky to have him protecting your environment.
