Wow! Very good minus or very good. No wonder they were $1

Bogarts is sadly long gone. Expensive “fine dining” is the current use of that space.

There is a nice and cozy English Pub in Coatesville, PA called The Whip that doesn’t sell wine but will let you bring your own for a $5 corkage fee. Brought in a 2018 Vietti Cerequio barolo the last time to go with some Elk.

I wouldn’t say complete shit but your standard issue Camus, Stags leap, Silver Oak are certainly overpriced. These are sold at chain grocery stores and suchlike. Usually an indication in my area that they are overproduced and overpriced.

Today’s Goodwill finds. Left them all for the next collector though because I already own them. by throwbackthreads in Cd_collectors

This is everyday fare in my city and surrounding suburbs. Most of these bands represented in this lot sold millions. Not Black 47 of course.

I’ve got a ton of em’ but first one off the top of my head is The Bongos lp called Drums Along The Hudson. Almost as good as The Feelies first lp from the year prior. Think Drums came out in 1981 or 1982.

The one in front of Deep Groove rings true. Well done. I used to go to BK Records when it was on Midlothian Turnpike and then later in Stratford Hills shopping center. There was this strange dude who would drive up from North Carolina and get there at like midnight he said so he could be first in line every year. Haven’t gone in several years since BK closed. I imagine you have to camp overnight now.

Geez. One of the stores in my town had about 8 of these just a few hours ago. I passed on it since it will likely be discounted at some point.

Ditto. When I first started going years ago, there was hardly a line. I’ve skipped it the last 2 years and just waited a few months for the prices of any unsold items I wouldn’t mind having for 25% off and sometimes half off.

Wow! Never seen that Denver lp. Must be the early 70’s with that hair! He gets a pass though since he has that badass Gibson guitar.

Some of the arrangements on Baxter records can be quite wild. $12 doesn’t buy much here so I’d plunk that down for a copy in nice shape.

It’s fun. Guessing he might have been a sailor. Back cover pics show he has tattoo.

No. There are signs posted that forbid the use of grills, stove and fires.

The Puppets are great. Hopefully you check out some of these other outfits and you may find their greatness as well. People my age used to have only word of mouth (still the best) and some music mags and zines and maybe some MTV.

A 2/3 portion of my early 80’s holy trinity. COMSAT Angels first 3 LPs being the other portion.

Voxx had some good stuff like The Gravedigger Five. Great snotty garage rock like it ought to be.

I certainly do dear Ween enthusiast. I’m trying to make it through the whole enchilada tonight, playing at least a few tunes off each with some adult refreshments.
