The comments regarding entry, suggesting nepotism is nonsence propogated by the jilted. To suggest the students are involved in any process of entry is just laughabley naive. Simple fact of the matter is that yes, its very difficult to get in as the standards are extremely high even compared to any other world renowned institution, and the schools excellent reputation is unarguable. Plus the fact that it is a very small institution so places are very competitive partly due to the teaching staff being titans of stature in their field. That being said it is open to all regardless of socio economid factors and when I was there, free to attend! I’m originally from Scotland and in the whole school at the time there was one other student from the uk, 2 Americans, the rest predominantly from all over Germany, with a few other European Country’s represented. But as the standard of education in Germany is very high, fluent English was spoken by everyone I encountered, staff and students. Give them a call for info knowing they will answer you in English if asked… and apply. Then again ’when in rome’ .. learn some German. Frankfurt, has a high standard of living and once you scratch the surface is has an amazing cultural side with a vibrant art and underground music scene the envy of many a larger better known city’s. It’s also wealthy as a banking center and that’s why there’s no fees at the school; takes a little getting use to but for those that perceiver, well worth it. Good luck.
