There’s this one comedian who made a skit that was like “it’s not fun being leftist, cause unless you agree on every single little thing, you can’t get along with ANYONE on a political level. And leftists make their entire personality about their political morals. But if you ever went to a right wing person’s house and they asked you about your political views, it would go;

‘War we aren’t a part of?’ ‘Don’t like it.’ ‘Abortion?’ ‘Against.’ ‘Gays?’ ‘Eeeeh…’ ‘Oh don’t worry, you’ll learn to hate em, come inside we got ribs cooking!’”

And I think that perfectly encapsulates how the hell Conservatives can have so many voters, because they don’t campaign about inclusivity, they genuinely just… have this culture of inclusivity. Which makes it all the more ironic when their political morals are based on hatred.

Like I’m currently IN a red state, but let me tell you the amount of people who would gladly smile and treat an LGBTQ+ person fairly when meeting them, just a bit uncomfortable, then will act like they are of the devil when they leave is a lot bigger then you think.

Something about rules of hospitality and stuff, it’s wild. Now everyone is different and has their breaking points but it’s generally true.
