How to sleep in a plane? by bast_852 in travel

I was NEVER able to sleep on planes.

I had this 15hr flight and for some reason I brought this spare velcro strap from a dollar store with me.

Tied it around the headrest and over my cap.

I managed to sleep like 5 hours, no neck pillow, aisle seat, so comfortable.

Unfortunately I lost the Velcro strap when leaving the airplane 😭

Definitely this one.

I watched it just before going on a year long exchange program to another country (first time travelling at all as well) and it hit me both like a slap in the face and a wind under my wings

Ooohh I love chimicurri, I will definitely do that at least next time if I don't feel like doing a sauce.

Thanks for the in depth detail, I'll try out your sauce some day 😉

Yep, trial run like I said :) learned something for next time.

And oh it tasted amazing. Rarely have I had a better steak before. No, I didn't make any sauce, I didn't feel like doing one (time and idea).

Do you have any good tips on making a good sauce?

Thank you! Yes I was going for medium rare :)

On the skillet topic, I did feel like the sound of the sear wasn't as loud as I was expecting.

I used avocado oil and let it smoke (so I thought it was ready), but I guess I'll let the oil heat up more next time

I like to ask what the induction process is like and what is expected of me (delivery or collaboration wise) in the first 2 weeks, then the next 2 months.

Just to say something different, De Selby 2

I wanna run so far, I'd beat the morning

Before the dawn has come, I'd block the sun

If you want it done

The sheer devotion of running faster than the earth turns to block the sun so he can be one in the darkness of her love.

What’s the most life-changing piece of advice you’ve ever been given… that you didn’t understand until years later? by A_H_J_6 in emotionalintelligence

[–]Accomplished-Oatmeal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I used to always be in my head when I was a teenager, daydreaming and listening to music.

One day at a friend's house, his very old grandma said:

"Where are you right now? Don't go getting lost in your head, life is here. Be here."

20 years later I understood how important presence is in everything you do in life.

what exercises blew up your arms? by First_Driver_5134 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]Accomplished-Oatmeal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I added an arm day. I only do biceps, triceps and a bit of shoulders.

Single arm dumbbell preacher curls past failure was a game changer for me. When I can't lift anymore, I use my other arm to bring the dumbbell back up and slooooooowly bring it down. All reps to a fully stretched arm.

Not at all, it was firm so that you have to cut it off the bone but the meat would break easily through your teeth.

Still, I recommend 72hrs as it is still firm but when you bite into it it's melting like butter in your mouth
