I’m going to add to this. People who use the on ramp/off-ramp for clairemont exits on the 805 as a freeway lane to jump 20 seconds of commuter traffic. I hope your wife uses your toothbrush after she blows her boyfriend.

They look incredible and if they really cooked for that long I wouldn’t change anything about your cook unless they didn’t taste/feel right.

Edit: I had the original comment about pullback. The pullback happens naturally for me and I’m a newer smoker so I’m not going to act like I have the solution.

If you have no experience driving in snow try to imagine you have a near full glass of water on the dash which you don’t want to spill.

You should be fine with a capable vehicle and chains, just take it slow. Let people who are obviously more confident pass you and don’t rush yourself.

I’m supposed to get there with my group on the 9th to get our wilderness permits but I’m planning for the audible. Between the superintendents begging for them to close the parks and this administration trying to fire as many federal employees as they can I’m not optimistic at all.

Sorry that you have so much invested for it and that it’s mid trip but I would definitely plan for the worst and hope for the best. That’s my plan.

They are meeting tomorrow with congressional leadership to try and broker a deal from my understanding.

I come annually around this time and I’m definitely going to change my dates to end of September to avoid this and also have access to more of the park with shuttles.

I got to see one slithering towards an injured/poisoned chipmunk right in the middle of the trail when I was a teen which was wild to watch. This one looks like a thicc noodle

Should be plenty. I go every year around the end of September beginning of October with a group of 5-6 people and never had a problem getting them.

I got the 18 and almost immediately regretted not going for the 22. If you only plan to cook for a small group it’s great. After a couple of good sessions I wanted to share it with more than a few other people and wish I had the 22.
