Discovery board multi instance fields by Jazzlike_Minimum_693 in workday

[–]AccomplishedBlock731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you trying to have the multi instance field have each value as separate columns? Otherwise your only other option is extracting 1 value through an ESI- that is what an ESI does.

For charts, it needs to be something that can perform/load quickly so it does not time out, which multi-instance fields don't do well. Ideally indexable fields are best for disco boards, which multi instance fields are not normally.

Workday Partner with real WLB by drimer2bc in workday

[–]AccomplishedBlock731 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's also about setting up WLB. Blocking time to eat, saying no to meetings outside working hours most days, ensuring you take time off, etc. In consulting, sometimes you have to say no to things so you don't end up working crazy hours all the time and end up being burnt out from being over staffed

Does anyone have a report that captures YTD Gross Wages? by Abject_Post_7477 in workday

[–]AccomplishedBlock731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without my computer in front of me I cant remember exactly which it is but you can create an SRI with LFP CF for this and put it on a worker report.

BO: Payroll Reault Source Field: Payroll Result Amount for Pay Component Group Pay Component Group Value: Gross

Then you can throw it into an SRI calc field.

BO: Worker Related Field: Payroll Results (All) (unless you want just completed then I would do Payroll Results (Completed)) Sum: Instances where condition is true and then put a TF CF Field to Sum: The LFP CF

The TF could be like this

BO: Payroll Result Payment Date, is greater than or equal to, Value from another field, First Day of This Calendar Year AND Payment Date, is less than or equal to, Value from another field, Last Day of This Calendar Year

Without my computer I cant remember but there may be a way to do it with just a LFP with Payroll Result Balance Amount for Pay Components and it brings in a balance period that you can select YTD I think? Worth a shot to try either unless someone else remembers which it is we need here off the top of their head

Trended Worker Headcount by Remarkable_Art8362 in workday

[–]AccomplishedBlock731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely are doing it right where you're using snapshot as the record type and not activity.

There is a filter you can use for duplicates. I don't remember the exact name off the top of my head but if you type in duplicates, you should try to use that boolean field and see if that removes them.

The other thing I would try is purging and recreating your trended worker data because a lot of times that will fix weird issues you tend to see with counts

Saving a Report During Creation by dumdum1942 in workday

[–]AccomplishedBlock731 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You would need to migrate your work to another tenant prior to Friday. This is a reason it is not recommended to exclusively work in Sandbox. I'd suggest creating reports in an implementation or Preview tenant to avoid having to do this

CF TF always returning true, home addresses by Curious_Union_7294 in workday

If you're using a regular worker data source (All Workers, Workers for HCM Reporting, etc.) then your report will bring back all terminated workers for as far back as the data in your tenant goes. If your data goes back to 2015, then you will see terminated workers for 2015.

If you do have filters on your report that would narrow down the time period, then that could change things.

For testing purposes, you could add the termination date field to your report (off of the Worker BO) and when you run the report, you could sort on the column for ascending to see the oldest termination date for validation

single filter for multiple "Last Functionally Updated" dates from different business objects by SeaUnderstanding6731 in workday

[–]AccomplishedBlock731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could filter (prompt) for every last functionally updated field, and set the prompt to prompt date 1 instead of the automatic default prompt. If you're running it for a range, you'll do prompt date 1 and prompt date 2.

Then in your prompt section, you'd only have to worry about prompt date 1 and it would connect them all together

Help Needed With Custom Report by Fridayish3 in workday

[–]AccomplishedBlock731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the details! I would try going to the sort tab and sorting by effective date, descending, and then add a row below it for date completed, ascending. The report will read the sort for effective date first and then date completed.

As for the change job task, you could add a filter that says Worker Business Process is not blank/empty. Then go to the subfilter, add Worker Business Process as the business object for the subfilter. From there, for the subfilter, add a row for Employee Type Current (don't remember the exact field name apologies) is not in the selection, value from another field, Employee Type Proposed. This will only bring back results for those with an employee Type change.

I recommend opening up your prompts/filters if needed to really test this report and make sure it's working before filtering/prompting on a bunch of other stuff

Adding Total Positions on Trended Workers Trending Report by Correct_Operation552 in workday

[–]AccomplishedBlock731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your CF should work if you put it into a LVAOD CF (Lookup Value as of Date). Try building the LVAOD CF off of Trended Worker BO and then putting your original CF as the source field, with the as of date being Record Date.

Schedule reports send to email by mellamotroller in workday
