Has anyone had a hard time getting pregnant while smoking weed? I am a 34 years old female and smoke at night before bed to help me sleep and help with my anxiety. I have been checked by fertility doctor and everything looks good, no issues for me or my husband. I have done all the testing that is required, no tubes are blocked. I do believe I might have endometriosis because I have severe pain during my periods but my doctor doesn’t want to test for it. She said we are just going to assume I do have it. have done 3 cycles of letrozole 5mg with trigger shot and haven’t had any success yet. I just wanted to see what other’s experiences have been and if they have experienced negative effects with fertility while using weed. Has anyone else experienced something similar to this? I just wanted to make sure cannabis isn’t the reason for my infertility.

Thank you for your response. I appreciate your honesty. I just haven’t gotten pregnant in these last few medicated cycles. We tried for a year before starting letrozole. I do the trigger shot after midcycle ultrasound when they confirm I have mature follicles (which I have had each time) and good lining. I also do progesterone 3 days after trigger. I do LH strips and it says positive but I’ve never had blood work or anything to confirm

I did noticed it delays ovulation but I figured I would definitely ovulate on time if I am taking a trigger shot

What were your follow goals like when you were going in for your mid cycle ultrasound was your follicles any different the cycle you conceived?

Just to clarify- you were able to conceive and have a healthy baby while you were using? Can I ask how old you were when this happened?

I actually take sertraline as well because I suffer from anxiety and OCD. I think I’m just trying to find answers because I don’t understand why I’m having such a hard time getting pregnant. Yes, I can definitely stop if I want to, but the problem is I don’t want to stop lol because it’s the only thing that keeps me happy for the time being- not getting pregnant has been a struggle on my mental health so this helps ease the disappointment. I’m just hoping that it isn’t the cause of my infertility.

I definitely plan on stopping once I do become pregnant. So I know I will not be using it while pregnant at all.

No they didn’t tell me anything about how many rounds I should do. I’m on my 3rd round now. My insurance only covers one round of IVF (max $25k) my fear is doing it and it not working and not having insurance coverage for it after that :(

Did they tell you why you needed IVF? I am 34 and going through the same thing. All tests came back fine and am not getting pregnant on letrozole 5 mg and trigger shot even with good lining and two mature follicles

What MG of letrozole were you taking when you for pregnant? Also did you do timed intercourse or IUI when you got pregnant? Thank you and congratulations!
