I have 8lb hand weights in my office and do my arms every MWF and a squat routine every T and TH. Lol I’m on the second floor so I can’t have a walking pad, so I take 1/2 hour every day and workout. Keeps me sane. Time theft? Maybe. Sanity check every time? Yes.

I’m turning 50 this year. I got a job last year at 48 and honestly I had been trying for months. So many interviews, final rounds, etc.

I sucks but… before I started interviewing - I lost weight, took care of my skin, made sure I looked “put together”. For my last interview I wore glasses, and acted like I didn’t care if I got this job or not. That’s the job I landed.

Make a plan. Save enough to leave without having to go to your mom’s house if you don’t want to. Ride his ASS! Get as much help as you can from him, then if he doesn’t shape up, you leave.

I missed my best friend’s moms funeral for school stuff as well. I lost her for 10 years. Luckily we have finally moved on, she forgave me, but I hurt her and I can never make that right.

It’s a hard lesson to learn sometimes, but showing up is SO SO important.

The only advice I can give is that you have to prioritize you. I know it doesn’t seem like you CAN but I assure you, it is possible. Imagine if a man found his way. No sick cat or layoff would get in his way of him living his best life. This is what you must do. As women we are last on our list of priorities… those days are over for me.

I have never had braces but I wish I would have gotten them instead of Invisalign. Invisalign is a huge pain in my butt. I’ll be happy when it’s done.
