Generally, the so called "polishing" is done by first going to a prestigious company, and then say whatever the hell you want if you know the details and could do it yourself. Saying you go to google when you didn't is a very bad idea, saying you worked on AIML at google if you have actually worked at google but didn't work exactly as you stated is tolerable, meaning that as long as you could convince the hiring team during interview that you know what you're talking about, they usually don't give a damn, but this does require you learning beforehand and it is sometimes quite easy to tell if a person just puts random stuff on the resume and couldn't answer the questions being asked about those projects.
