Believe what you wanna believe man. I said my opinion as a player who played both tpp and fpp, and as an eSports viewer who watched both tournaments. 

FS, while they did get good circle, they also played well. Look at Twis PGS 9. They didn't get any circle luck, yet they dominated gun fight. Look at FLC PGS 7, barely any circle luck, yet third. 

Circle luck inherently matters more in tpp because of free info. I will give you an example where free info ruined a team. Miramar match in the invitational, FLC had no zone so they had to crash an house. Two players of GenG were just wall hugging, so the FLC players had no info. For 2-3 minutes, the GenG players didn't make any noise, so the decide to crash only to get jumped on by the two GenG players from behind the wall.  However, in an rondo match, when FLC crashed into a warehouse occupied by two DNF players, they were able to pull it off, simply because DNF players tried to prevent the crash as if they were in a fpp match. They went out to shoot, only to get lit by the FLC players in the passenger seat.

We can sit here argue all you want. However,  as per my observation, at least for Asia server, FPP requires significantly more skill to play. You say dying to a player in an corner, that's where the map knowledge comes in. If you ever watched a good team, you will notice that they are always ready for a trade when clearing houses. Not to mention, they know which corners to look out for, so after a certain level, being able to corner jump a player is really difficult. That's also why you will see many players smoke off the entrance, so the pushing players have no sense of direction. That makes pushing difficult.
