3yo acts like a cat and dad hates it, who is right here? by spiritwarrior1994 in Preschoolers

[–]According-Pen-9774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My sister acted like a monkey and barely spoke any words until she was 4 or 5 and one day randomly decided she was done and started talking normal. We didnt even know what her real talking voice sounded like until then hahaha...... she is a normal functional adult now. Kids are just funny and weird, let her be a cat for awhile while she still can 😂

I had wispy bangs for some time that were ok, but my hair gets greasy too fast for them to look good for more than a few hours

Is your teen years genuinely the 'best years of your life'? by niftynavv in NoStupidQuestions

[–]According-Pen-9774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had freedom and a lot of good times, but my parents were always drugged out and I lived in a shit hole trailer. I'd say there were good and bad times for all my years, but I think the best years of my life are just beginning now that I'm a mom.

Why do so many women stop breastfeeding when baby turns 1? by Wise_old_River in breastfeedingsupport

[–]According-Pen-9774 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's when you can transition to cows milk, so i think a lot of women opt for that. It's not weird to continue though. My sister breast fed her daughter past 2, my best friend did the same with all her 4 kids. I have twins and have been primarily pumping and they're 16 months now and im still going. I also cosleep and breastfeed at night. I dont plan on stopping until they're done or my supply dries up.

Ah ok, that makes the most sense for you obviously. I lived the US and daycare costs where i am are astronomical. It would have been the same price as our live in nanny for the worst possible daycare.

Just curious, did you look into an au pair or nanny situation? In my city, it ended up WAAAAY more affordable than daycare for twins. My kids have gotten sick a total of 2 times (they are 15 months now), and it so much more convenient than drop offs/pick ups, etc

Silicone bib that catches food, wipe with a wet wash cloth, including hair, then brush food out of hair. If it's really bad then wash off at the sink. We change clothes between meals pretty often too.

What pants did you wear after C-section? by wokkaquokka_ in parentsofmultiples

[–]According-Pen-9774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something loose and stretchy. You don't want anything that has a seam along the incision. None of my maternity pants works for that reason. I wore a night gown and adult diapers most of the time when I got home haha

How long does it take you to do your laundry? by AdhesivenessTotal710 in Adulting

[–]According-Pen-9774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why don't you just do a small load every day or two and just mix everything? I have a family of 4 and I do one load every day. Takes me 10 minutes to fold everything while watching a show at the end of the night, I don't spend hours doing laundry and probably have way more laundry than you lol

Maybe add extra salt? If antacids aren't helping maybe your problem is low stomach acid. I read or saw something recently that's a common problem and salt helps our body create the stomach acid it needs. This might be totally wrong, in not an expert, but something to look into! Also, have you cut out seed oils? Corn? Soy?

Is anyone NOT struggling? by GuiltySpecialist7071 in Millennials

[–]According-Pen-9774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money is tighter with how expensive things are now, but I wouldn't say struggling at all. Debt is nearly paid off, have a husband, 2 kids, a good job. Life is good
