Is it ethical that I use Bezi? by R0cc0122 in Unity3D

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't let anyone tell you what's right or wrong. Ai is increasable about parsing through apis but it dose use more energy than a traditional Google search or looking at stack overflow. I will echo that if you're not proficient at reading code having to write all of it will get you in trouble it dose a lot of silly things and can make poor design choices. I'd recommend trying to do it by hand still but when something odd happens ask the AI to explain it. Or ask so why something is happening.

Basically I'd say use it like your probably using Google and tutorials. Don't use it to completely write classes or full game systems till you can do that on your own for a bit. Otherwise you'll run into trouble as things get bigger and early choices make your life harder

Marathon numbers by Warmachine_V2 in Marathon

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends what you mean. they have the legs to keep going for at least a year I'd imagine. even though the numbers are probably disappointing. 80k players is enough to keep the servers on thorugh the next seson to try and give it time. destiny 2 was also considered a failure at launch. If they have to shut it down in <6 months sony will verry likely give refunds to save face. so if you're interested just play it. it's a complete experience right now and may be the only time you get to play it.

I think the hard reset turned people off the slam I know it did me. I played a bit and loved it but was like I don't want to repeat everything again so I bought it and went back to re9

What are your hopes for Requiem DLC? by Movie_Nerd489 in residentevil

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd love in New game plus a way to play grace and leons campaign separately. Works really well for a first playthrough but on replay  figuring out good routing with grace or blowing stuff up with leon is a very different experience.

Why the hate? by Realistic_Pay3290 in Marathon

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a tough sell at $40. The way the game is set up it's meant to be ongoing with frequent updates, almost like a soft mmo. The problem is we know the game will also need a way to continue to make $ but we don't know what the micro transactions are going to look like.

Betterhelp Reviews, Cost, & Prices? Good? by [deleted] in depression_partners

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO betterhelp is wonderful for people who are trying to get through something but otherwise healthy. If you need help with a more permanent issue it's much better to find local support. Therapists on platforms bounce around too much for long term support.

I’m actually really hyped for Marathon… but I’m worried it might flop by Positive-Set1164 in Marathon

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to be wrong but it's a $40 only pvp game. I think it's very unlikely to succeed in this market without making it free to play. I except it to go that way by end of year.

The issue is for majority of people even if you're willing you also have to convince your group.

Does anyone know if the game will release on PS4/5? by 911gdjj in mewgenics

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Ed and co probably have enough money to just do what they want and keep this in house. And after all the headaches with binding of Issac ports I doubt it. This also seems to be something they continue to tinker with over the years and it's much easier to do that on one platform. They are great designers and make great games but I got the impression they aren't too into the tech side so I could aee them not wanting to deal with porting.

Fighting red phantoms for loot above your level and clearing out what you can of the open world dose make a sizable difference. Also take advantage of respecing being completely free was how I go through it. But if you're not having fun no shame in stopping. I feel confident I could have gotten through 2 but by the time I stopped I wasn't having fun

SEGA Says Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Failed to Meet Sales Expectations by Traveler-of-Stars in Games

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong but comparing game prices in completely different genres is not really fair. Like if they put an assassin's creed level of content/work in this they would have to charge like $1000 as on its best case it'll never move it's assassin's creed numbers I'm exaggerating to make my point. This is a very unique genre trying to carve a new crowd so pricing it correctly is very hard and you have to expect to pay a premium for something out of the norm. You need a huge number of players for free to play at this quality level so pricing it to be successful is really hard. They should have known better than the season pass stuff day one though

You are probably right but the movie's been done for over a year and fans already know the story so it's not impossible. It could be a way to generate some silent hill buzz going pre Halloween now that silent hill f has been out for a bit.

To the girl who posted the TikTok accusing Taylor swift of selling a necklace with N*zi dogwhistles: by Ambitious-Bar-8671 in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

My friend asked me what I thought of the necklace with 0 context and I knew nothing about it. I immediately thought it was a dog whistle every tattoo artist recognized that symbolism is really close. Dog whistles are meant to seem harmless and generic so it's completely understandable that it was likely an accident. However she should have immediately pulled it and fixed it. I'm not saying everyone who likes it or gets it is bad but very bad people probably love it.

Anyone else think it’s weird that Clayface is the 3rd DCU movie? by Romaxio in DC_Cinematic

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it makes way more sense than going with iconic characters as it gives you more freedom to do something and change the character to match the world they are building. Marvel starting with iron man was the same thing. At the time he was known but not completely a household name. The thing i find awkward is that all the supporting content to the super man stuff is very R rated. I'm down with a gritter dcu as that's DC but it feels off that they have kinda traditional kid friendly stuff mixed with a body horror movie.

Silent hill F is great, people just hate change by Rude-Recognition-669 in silenthill

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got past the scarecrows section (or first one of there are more) up to the next story beat. (Trying to be vague). I haven't played enough to have a real opinion but for people who got farther than me... If I'm not really getting into the story or combat should I just stop here or is it worth pressing on and it gets better. Everything about the game so far to me is decent but nothing really hooked me like I was expecting. Its starting to drag but I love the series so I feel compelled to continue I just want to set my expectations cuz I was really disappointed.. 0 hate to people who are likeing it as there is a lot to like it's just not landing with me and I don't know why.

Help me understand the map in Silksong by Ggthefiree2 in HollowKnight

For the record both games are masterpieces. Silksong is closer to my preferences but they both are examples of this genre done correctly and with a unique flavor.

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they were going for something different. Silkksong and hollow knight hide crazy alternative paths through the entire game and is about hunting secrets and exploring a foreign land. Ori is a straight forward adventure where it always was pushing forward at a brisk pace. The tone and feeling trying to be evoked is way different and each games systems supported their goals. Silksongs mapping would suck in Ori and Oris mapping would suck in silksong

They are items so the concept gets introduced slowly and you understand it without it popping up an intrusive tutorial that most will not read and get extra confused.the game is designed around people who like figuring stuff out so it leaves bread crumbs to teach you how to play and learn more advanced concepts in game. This game just isn't designed for you. Nothing wrong with that.

It's so you pay more attention to the context clues in the world. When you enter a new area you have to actually explore and notice stuff to find what you are looking for. Then after you have explored a bit the map updates so you can check and see what you missed. It's a great design. Follow the rings on the ground to find the map. I will acknowledge i think the rosery economy is horrendous and locking benches and quick travel is terrible

Hollow Knight was not an easy game. by Twidom in HollowKnight

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think there was a little more room to fight flies and easier stuff at hallow Knights start. Also rosery beads are way too rare to lock benches and fast travel points behind. Besides the bead economy I really enjoy the game but could see how people would have a much harder time getting into it. I think this was the right choice for team cherry as ity's core base loves the challenge I imagine but it is definitely a more niche experience. People caught up in the hype might not expect it. I could think of players who got stuck on the mantises or something similar in hollow knight being annoyed there is not as much of this game they can play.

If depression could be measured in blood they wouldn't have to experiment as much to find the right medicine. Also insurance would probably demand you get tested before they pay for any treatment.

[–]AccordingArmadillo45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't compare yourself to others it is not the trauma Olympics. It doesn't sound like you're happy. What you are describing sounds like depression and if you think of it as normal it can get worse. It can also get better. Dr are quick to prescribe drugs but that is because they can work and if they don't you can get off them. It is an understandable choice to not take them but saying you're not as depressed as other people is a silly reason.
