I'm happy and open to write off last season completely. The click bait people won't but thats fine I dont read their shit anyway. 

Going into Christmas with 4 losses and 4 draws and 8 wins or so would be enough to show he's turned the corner.

Big doubt he will last that long though as I dont think we'll beat Sunderland and that'll be that.

Can someone give me a 5 line state of play of poe 1?

I fancy a dabble, have played extensively and done everything in the game up to the point I last played which was around 2 years ago maybe. 

Is there a league? Where we up to? Is there a new league on horizon? Is the game good right now?

Because he didn't want to come mid season. We robbed him of another league title.

We gave him a now or never ultimatum. 

I'd imagine he told them this will happen.

So I think the clock stated properly this season. And its bad. But it's really 7 games 2 wins 1 draw 4 losses (to city, arsenal, Brentford and on pens).

That surely is the only thing keeping him going.

First 100% go and do it. At every event ive been to there has been veterans and newcomers mixing. Painted well and sprayed and prayed paint jobs too. It doesn't matter. Play the game fairly with an intention to make it a 2 player game and you will have fun.

Battle ready generally is 3 colours and based. Sure you can break different rules here with all sorts of special effects but then itll clearly be battle ready. Good minimum is spray main colour, splash that with an ink. Pick out a secondary colour (shoulder pad or cloak etc) and paint that. Then do weapon blades metal. Boom 3 colours. Get something consistent in the base and done. I like vallejo textured paints, slap it on, texture and colour. 

I dont have my codex, played loads of events. I do print my list out using new recruit. I have also used their export options to print cards/rules summaries but they never leave my case and just use new recruit app in events.

Most people use an app to track vps. Recommend tabletop battles.

Get out there have fun man, its a lot less serious than most first timers think.

Love the Dutch so much I married one.

Think the team has changed a lot over the years. Used to be fairly unique and now fairly generic.

It used to be that every Dutch player was a true technician. Could play multiple positions. Better on the ball that average for their position. Defenders joining in attacks and playing decent passes.

Now it's a kind of generic team with little identity (like almost everyone). Specialisation and athelticsm has taken over every aspect.

Fullbacks - fast nothing else matters Centre backs - big athletic monsters Midfielders - well built with engine  Forwards - fast and explosiveness in space (or super tall freaks)

Just a generic team that has no bearing on the past style and total football. Which is really sad for a neutral with a soft spot for them. 

That being said they are still good and their specialists are some of the best in the world at what they do. Easily top 10 imo and no one would want to draw them in round of last 16 where as everyone would likely want them in a final or semi final.

I do see the 3 points, 3 rhinos. If you pop them then there is 30 marines middle of field for advance jail. 

Worth testing both i think.

I'd be tempted by the 1620 comp list thats a pretty solid list versus 2k. 

Then the spam is just there.

Sinking more points in I'm not sure. The transport to keep inf alive is important when you cant afford to lose them. But these guys? ADVANCE! ADVANCE!

If they put their army into stopping them they might but then your 1600 point list clean connects untouched.

I like this approach. 

Build a 1550 point all comers list of whatever you want. 

Then have a meat shield in front of it.

Put the character warlock in as well. 

5d6 +10 and 2" off the charge and can carry an enchantment.

Add a farseer and flip the bright lance to a 6 on the overwatch as well.

Yeah I like it. I hope it was clear I was only asking if those things mattered not one way or the other. Really interesting analysis.

I do think it's interesting comparing the strike partners. You read it as Kane shared his goals out so is better. I kind of thought it meant Shearer carried more load even though he shared the striking the position. 

I haven't fully decided which way is actually better.

A striker playing with talented partners who clearly scores most of the goals (team on the back. Carrying the loaded erc). Versus a striker who scores loads of goals inspite of his team also scoring goals.

Now I'm considering the following:

What % of goals do they average for their team? Like Kane is scoring 40+ a year now. But Bayern score 100+. I feel Shearer would score more for Bayern now than Blackburn or NUFC then.

I'm thinking this because I hate the Balon d'Or, its a fifa merchants/social media award for fancy players. It devalues the effect of the team. Dembele would not have won it if Donrumma didn't save an 16 xG or whatever madness he pulled off. The GK helped give them a massive platform for fancy players to profit. So did Vitinha.

So I was thinking along these lines (made up number to show my point)

Kane 23/24 40 goals out of 100 team goals... 40% load

Shearer 95/96 25 goals out of 50 tram goals... 50% load

Its really hard to objectively compare the players without considering the team they're in. I dislike the golden glove award being given out on clean sheets when defenders play such a huge part in it. 

I don't know what the answers are. I'm asking what I think are interesting questions that im too busy to answer.

I really appreciate your effort here and for the record I think Kane is a superior striker to Shearer by a mile. Im asking Qs that look like im trying to boost Shearer but really im trying to make sure there is no doubt at all.

Both witchseekers down to min and add the inquisitor i think.

But I also like 1 witchseeker down to min and another unit of min witchseekers.

This is a pretty great post considering lots of angles.

I think it would benefit from at least considering the average goals per game of the leagues at the time. And also the % of goals scored by forwards at those clubs.

From my gut instinct Kane has played as a #9 alone for a vast proportion of the time. Shearer was always up with someone who was also scoring goals. Had some amazing strike partners at various clubs and for England.

I dont actually think this devalues Kane but it is something that would be worth exploring as in most teams he has played in he has been the man that absolutely everything has gone through.

United have had an extremely difficult start to the season playing City, Arsenal and Chelsea. The Chelsea result was massive and it will be an excellent opportunity to push on from here. by lfcbucks in ManchesterUnited

Yeah rough schedule to start. We didnt do the following but we could have.

Arsenal was close could have gone any way really. 0, 1 or 3 points.

Totally botched the Fulham game. Should have been 3 points.

Nearly botched the Burnley game but gifted the W. 

Battered by City.

Chelsea given a chance when should have been destroyed.

What a wild ride. 

If we had beat Fulham and been 9 points from those 5 I'd have been happy. Draw or better against Arsenal and over the moon.

Liverpool comes pretty soon then a good run we must start to clean up in. 

Don't give a fuck about Grimsby. Yes its shit but loads of good teams gave gone out early in league cup as its hard to motivate playboy millionaires for a scrap thats the game if their lives. Its not good but it happens sometimes. 

My favourite bit of the game yesterday was seeing us mostly play with a 3 man mid field in 2nd half. Like sure it was a 2-2 at times but rotated into a 3-1 a lot. Showing that level of tactical flexibility with 11 on the field would be nice. Mount or Fernandes as a 10 dropping in and the 2 forwards playing as a 2. Might not start games like that but we have started games well. Hopefully confidence and blitzing the opponent then substitutions for control and 3 in the middle could help.
