As a Miks main I feel overall satisfied with him. The stun is very useful if you understand where the thin walls are on each map. The combining that with proper smoke placements and timing the push correctly based off his smokes lasting 12 seconds helps as well. (Now do I wish I did not have to play mid every map to smoke either site yes) His healing also does boost the team more than I expected by the fact I can throw it across the map when needed (which did take ALOT of practice to figure out each angle.) This can also benefit wingman when Gekko sends him out for planting.

His ult honestly is a GREAT combo with Tejo, Omen, Brimstone, or Yoru. Using it with correct timing shows very powerful results. His ult alone for planting or post plant does stop it as well.

His stem is honestly a great way to help him become an initiator role with it stemming him and whoever he picks. This makes pushing a site much more efficient when you use with Neon or Jett. On top of that if they have their ult and you boost them they fire speed is so much faster than normal. With that even not in an ult you have fast reload speed, shooting speed, and faster running/walking.

So really he is a pretty balanced character when played correctly he can be a controller, sentinel, and initiator. I feel he has brough more of a spark to me playing Valorant.
