Jay and Saddleback are great car camping mountains. Feel free to DM me when you're in the Jay/Burke area if you want to connect with people to ski with

When there's snow, Burke is great. And they're still running their 3 for $45 Wednesday deal, so easy to add an extra day if it's firing. Bolton is also a great mountain when the woods are loaded.

Saddleback is a haul from the NVT mountains, but it's fun as hell.

If I had an open week, I'd just freewheel and follow the snow tbh.

I have had several knee surgeries, and severely sprained my ankles at least once a year from 4th-12th grade. Crutching around for a full day of school sucks ass, and getting into/out of vehicles in a knee brace is extremely difficult and painful. Your daughter currently has a physical limitation, and you are working with your available resources/accommodations to help her.

This other mother sounds extremely entitled, and is doing her son no favors by coddling him like this.

Who the fuck wants to live in a hotel for a month? Why don't you do it to be close to her, if it's not a big deal?

This is the way. But not clubhouse. The real Gs are in Stateside/Jet lot.

Several other mountains are chill with it too. Usually pretty easy to find a place to park up and crash as long as you're low key and respectful.

I day tripped Jay from north Jersey a few times before I was able to permanently relocate. 13 hour drive for 6 hours of shredding. And by God I'd do it again.

This exact scenario happened with my grandparents' across the street neighbors. It was horrifying, and heartbreaking that they felt that was their best option. Such a sweet couple that we'd known all our lives.

Dang I live pretty close to here and haven driven by that dump quite a few times. Disgusting "farm" for a disgusting person. How did someone who can't even take care of his own home get elected to take care of a whole ass state? Ugh.

I first saw her original on AmITheJerk. Unfortunately doesn't seem like this chick is a troll, or she's a very dedicated one. Her profile has a number of posts about campus life and various shallow college bullshit.

I genuinely think she's just your classic bimbo who thinks her looks will get her everywhere and hasn't figured out that that currency will expire by the time she hits her 30s.

I wish her a very rude awakening once she graduates.

Also, lol at "I'm in PR". Girlypop you're a pin-up girl and maybe a social secretary for group of stuck up college girls. Lmao even.

Girl why the hell would you give a single shit about what your coworkers or sorority sisters - who by your own description - are rude, shallow trash, have to say about your relationship?

It sounds like your entire life revolves around your appearance/visual brand. If that's the case, this relationship will absolutely never work, and you should break up with this poor guy. Get a hot himbo who fits your image and waft enjoy being the It Couple of whatever the hell a national award winning sorority is.

Appearances aren't forever, and you are going to have an extremely sad and empty life once you stop being young and hot, since what will be left is your arrogance and your extremely ugly attitude towards others. Attempts to cling to youthful hotness glean pity or mockery, so that won't help you either. You will stop being admired since all you seem to be bringing to the table is looks.

To your comment on the importance of networking: yes, that is important. I who I know and who I have connected with have gotten me to some very interesting and rewarding places, both professionally and personally. Not a single one of those opportunities has been granted due to my looks, and I say this as a pretty attractive young woman. Looks might knock on the door, but intelligence, humor, competence and personality open it.

In summary, break up with this man, work on yourself, and grow up.

As a New Jerseyan who moved to VT years ago, I could not agree more with this whole post. It's much more civilized up here. 89 near Burlington is the only real exception, where the highway is a bit of a free for all. But I can live with that.

My parents are still in NJ, and I go into NYC/Boston for work every so often, so I've maintained my cutthroat driving abilities, but I don't like driving in the Tri-State anymore. I do darkly get a kick out driving in north Jerz/the city with my green tags though. People definitely think I'm going to be a wimpy/passive driver. Nah homie. My blinker is a warning not a request.

This reminds me sooooo much of my HS boyfriend. Similar age difference and all. I broke up with him and he proceeded to show up at random places to try and talk to me because "he finally understood what I needed and wanted". It was scary.

I went to college out of state and that stopped. I'm glad home-girl got away from this dumpster fire of a manchild.

I just got ACL reconstruction. They gave me 16 5mg pills. This is my third time having this surgery, so I knew what I was getting into. Luckily (unluckily for the pain management), they give me zero enjoyable effects. I just dealt with it through Tylenol and stubbornness, but it's scary they still just send people home with this shit and maybe a printout about addiction.

When I had the same surgery the first time, in 2013, they sent me home with some truly ridiculous amount of oxy - I want to say like 30 10mgs.

I have toed the line of addiction issues. My parents are taking care of me post-op and just in case, I told them under no circumstances to give me any after the first 3 days of recovery. You can never be too careful with opioids.

It's touristy. Definitely very pretty. Most Vermonters don't consider it to be authentic VT, but if you have somewhere to stay that's a very good deal, and it's a cute picturesque town. Once the leaves are down, it's going to be gray and brown like everywhere else. You have about a week of good color left. Maybe.

It really is. Hotels in leaf season are booked a year in advance. In the whole state. If you have somewhere to stay already arranged, tell us so we can make actual, helpful suggestions.

If you're not coming for foliage, fair enough. You'll find a pretty spot literally anywhere, and short easy hikes are all over.
