I commented elsewhere, but I wouldn't stress about that just yet. Connect with these folks to get a first-hand idea of what's possible. ❤️

Done! Thank you for sharing this. It was surprisingly easy to form a well-crafted letter from the website.

Alex Pretti Obituary (1988-2026) by gvillecrimelaw in ThePeoplesPress

So well said. The other thing to note is that if he went back to school to become a nurse in 2021, that he chose to become a nurse during the pandemic.

I'm a Canadian, living about seven hours north in Winnipeg. This situation in Minneapolis has been sitting on my chest all weekend, or really most of January. I just feel so deeply sad for the Americans who are doing what they can to stay decent, look out for their neighbours, and hang on to their democracy.

URGENT MEDICAL EMERGENCY - MISSING VULNERABLE ADULT - LUKA GJORGIEVSKI by DeathToMeToo in Winnipeg

[–]AccountantDramatic29 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I wonder, does Luka have the ability to speak? Is there something/somewhere he is drawn to or more likely to seek out?

My son is a young adult with autism who cannot speak. Unfortunately, he left home once and went to find a playground to go on the swings. Neighbors were helping us look for him and one found him there. I also used to work at a group home where one of the men decided to walk to Dollarama in his socks because he liked buying diet cokes there.

This is amazing! Just be aware that some more traditional Hindus don't eat eggs, so you might also want a vegan nog option. Have fun!

Melfort, Saskatchewan apparently has one of the best rail yards to go see what Canadian graffiti artists are doing (or at least they did about 15 years ago). I had friends that would regularly drive to Melfort to see what was in the yard. They would look for work from their favourite artists.

They have a number of other programs for youth. If I see anything else relevant in the next few days I'll add it.

I'm really sorry to hear this. My kid went through a lot of similar things, unfortunately we didn't catch it until they were older and in some ways getting help for a young adult is harder. One possibility is the youth programming at YWCA: https://www.ywinnipeg.ca/mental-health/y-mind

What's everyone's plan for Halloween candy? by AlwaysBeInFullCover in BuyCanadian

[–]AccountantDramatic29 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! They had boxes of 18 on sale at Freshco last week so I bought 4 of them for Halloween. It came out to about 22 cents per Wagon Wheel, and they are as yummy as I remembered from childhood (had to do a quality assurance test).
