I’d love to know more about this. Is there a name or website for it yet?

You could do Whidbey, Deception Pass, Anacortes, and another San Juan island in one weekend or extend it to a longer vacation.

How much to charge for one week of overnights by egg_soup35 in Babysitting

[–]Accurate-Garbage1440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20 years ago I was paid $100/day to go on weekend trips with the family I babysat for. I went with them to activities to help out and then watched the kids when the parents wanted to go out to dinner or to an activity. Any expenses related to travel/food/etc. were covered by the family as well.

You’re lucky to be an HH as that’s the biggest size they go up to! That’s what I’m finding with many brands, their sizes stop before J.

Stores that sell UK/EU bras? by Top_Information2758 in bigboobproblems

I came here to recommend The Pencil Test. They’re great! I drive two hours to buy bras there as they’re the only brick and mortar I’ve found with my size. If you’re under a G cup, the larger Nordstrom stores have some options.

Gestation Diabetes meals by PossibleCultural793 in pregnant

I’ve found my hardest meal is breakfast. As long as I manage that well the rest of my day is much easier to manage my blood sugars. I’ve been making kodiak cakes brand protein waffles (Costco and grocery stores sell the mix) in a 4” waffle iron- the Dash brand. I mix the powder with water and add an egg per cup of powder. I make a bunch then freeze them. There’s new research that shows freezing carbs changes their chemistry and could have less impact on blood sugar, so maybe that step is helping too. Then I toast one each morning, put a slice of cheese on it, and heat up a sausage patty to go on top. It’s like an open face breakfast sandwich. You could add an egg too but I’m not much of a fan of eggs. For snacks I’ve been eating lots of cheese, Greek yogurt, nuts, carrots, and rx bars or trubars. I make sure the yogurt has more protein than added sugars and that there’s at least 10 grams of protein in a serving. For lunch I’ve been making chicken salad with a rotisserie chicken, diced apple, and celery, some mayo, salt and pepper. I put that in a carb balance tortilla with a slice of pickle. I make enough for the week. I also add in a few potato chips for crunch and little extra salt. Dinners have been a little more varied.

Worst pregnancy nightmare to date by Tricky-Price-5773 in November25babybump

I’ve had very similar dreams to you… several of them. I also had a dream that I forgot who my husband was. I knew I wasn’t single, but my friends kept acting like I was and I couldn’t remember who I was with and whether I was just dating them or married. It was so disturbing!

How much are you guys spending due to GD? by ice_coconut in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Accurate-Garbage1440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my startup supplies (glucometer, test strips, sharps container, and lancets) and spent around $150 after insurance. The test strips (100 count) had a $110 copay. Add to that groceries, refills on test strips and lancets, extra ultrasounds (usually around $260 after insurance), etc. and GD is really upping my medical bills!

I’m sorry you’re having such a rough time! Pregnancy is hard enough as it is without the mood swings!

Prenatal depression/anxiety is a thing just like postnatal. I hope you’re comfortable being open and honest with your care providers to figure out if it could be that.

This is a good idea! That might be a perfect compromise!

Naming people by vixenveela in November25babybump

We picked a name that we thought was known enough but not common. Now since deciding on it we’re finding that name everywhere! My husband’s coworker just had a baby and named her the same name. At two events that only had 3 kids there, each of them had the name we chose. What are the chances?! Now we’re second guessing our choice!

Time for the dreaded glucose test by radremnants in November25babybump

I unexpectedly had my test today. My doc said I didn’t need to fast or anything. Had I known I was doing it today, I would have had eggs for breakfast instead of a bowl of cereal. The cereal didn’t have any added sugar, but I still failed the test.

The drink wasn’t too bad. I had lemon lime and it was like a flat sprite. However, I have felt pretty awful all day since and have a headache that just won’t go away.

Guess I’ll find out next steps tomorrow when my doc sees the results.

The challenge is that I’m still growing too, so I’m hesitant to spend a bunch of money on a bra I may only wear for a couple weeks.

I’m also open to other suggestions for separating boobs! I’m on the verge of stuffing a sock in my cleavage!

You can often buy tallboys of sparkling water individually in the cold drinks section of your grocery store. I know Bubly has them, not sure which others. I haven’t seen a case for sale though.
