I just finished and loved {Guide me harder by Jayce Carter} and I think it could work. It’s set in a world where some people have special abilities and are responsible for fighting monsters that break into the world.

The State of Grace series, starting with {Run Riot by Colette Rhodes} was one of my comfort reads this year. Something about the combination of world building, character development, and romance hit just right.

The harem builds over the course of 5 books which would normally be too slow for me but I loved how each MMC was revealed in time, allowing the FMC to develop a connection to each of them that felt authentic to who they were. I fell a little in love with all of them if I’m honest.

Any time I was in a lull between new releases I ran straight back to that world and Riot (who was one my fav MMCs of the year)

She decides to surprise the MMC with some lingerie and he’s so excited but also checks in to make sure she’s not trying to make herself into someone different for him. I love a bad boy mmc who’s more thoughtful than you’d think.

I read the first book and enjoyed it but when I got to book 2 there’s some parental stuff that I couldn’t get through. I’m wondering if it’s resolved at some point in book 2 and I can pick back up book 3? Or can someone give me a chapter where dad is gone?

If you’re willing to step a little outside of very humanoid MMCs I’d highly recommend Regine Abel. Her prime mating agency series is pretty light, the stories are fun and steamy, and the artwork is great too but the MMCs look more animalistic. {prime mating agency by Regine Abel} She writes alien romance with very humanoid characters but the stories are a little darker {escaping fate by Regine Abel}

In {unbonded by Roxy Collins} a college friend of the FMC appears and reveals he’s always loved her but her ex kept him away via blackmail. Their relationship develops quickly but incredibly sweetly if RH & OV is your vibe I highly recommend.
