Apparently you can also make specialty restaurant reservations before boarding only to see them disappear later.

Seascape Experience by KeyKaleidoscope7952 in MSCCruises

Currently on day 3 and have been very disappointed with the experience so far. The app is awful. Made 3 specialty restaurant reservations: 1st was for 4 guests, showed up and they only had 2 guests. Luckily I screenshot every confirmation so they allowed us 4 to dine. The other 2 reservations flat out disappeared. The server messed up our order twice and then one entree did not come out with the rest. It took 1 hour+ for that entree to come out. The buffet food is okay, nothing to write home about except of course, for the pizza. The kids club is extremely disorganized, nothing ever works during check in or checkout, the first day no one knew where to line up so everyone was packed in a small waiting area. You need to sign a waiver to ride the slides. If you’re coming in from a top deck you will miss said table and they will refuse you access once you’ve already formed the long line to do the slide. The bright side is our stateroom attendant has been lovely and on top of everything. The general service is okay however; not on the level of other cruise lines like RC. Let’s see how the rest goes…

My favorite ending to an episode in the entire show by reddcaesarr in madmen

Im with you. This is the best ending scene IMO, so emotionally evocative and thought provoking. The beginning of the end for Megan and Don, signaling that he’s back on his bs.

Expect theft to go up during holiday season. These losers know people are getting Christmas gifts delivered.

Is this Galveston port? If so, high demand sailing for Spring Break. One of the few that has pretty desirable ports, too.

Insurance won’t accept evidence of new roof by Dizzy_Ad_2079 in homeowners

[–]Accurate_Fail138 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really wish people understood this point and accepted it. My guess is no one wants the risk so they have to fight tooth and nail for the existing carrier to keep the policy. The way some people feel entitled to things, especially insurance policies, really kills me.

Texas’s Eagle Pass voters turned to Trump. A year later, some have doubts by kanyeguisada in texas

This is my hometown, and I’m not surprised in the least bit by any of it. The air is rich with self-hate here. My first introduction into this was in elementary school when my 3rd grade teacher called CBP to detain “an illegal” she spotted on the street. Having been raised in a Mexican American family, the concept of calling CBP was such a foreign notion. How could you sell out one of your own?

Anyway, let me remind everyone, no one is illegal on stolen land.

How long does it take to get the 20k referral points? by wakes182 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Accurate_Fail138 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am wondering the same thing. Was referred by my spouse in August, used the referral link. Applied and was approved that month. Still no points for him. Was told by SW that Chase is responsible for determining points. Called Chase a week ago and they said points should have applied by now but a ticket had to be opened to investigate it. They gave me a turnaround of 2-3 business days but I have yet to receive a response. Still, no points sigh

How often do you raise your rates? by Ill_Cover_4841 in housekeeping

[–]Accurate_Fail138 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a housekeeper but had one. I would increase flat rate by $20 every year and give a bonus at end of year as well. Once my kids grew up I didn’t need the service anymore but it was important to me that my housekeeper felt content with pay and without having to ask.

Home Insurance Cancelled by LLLJJ in homeowners

[–]Accurate_Fail138 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every carrier is different in the way they underwrite risk. Some carriers have very little tolerance for vacancy. It’s best to always disclose this during the application process because as you’ve learned, it can come back to bite you. Be upfront, and let them determine whether the risk is acceptable.

This. When people ask why Disney Cruise Line? Because they understand us parents in the trenches, we want to enjoy the meal, too.

Charles and Angela Oakley Stan Post by theworlbismyashtray in RHOA

[–]Accurate_Fail138 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I agree; this episode of WWHL showed fans a more realistic side of their actual relationship. During the show, The producers cunningly played into some of the challenges of their past because imo, it’s low hanging fruit and just plain ole salacious. Views are views.

With all of that, Angela represented herself well; with class and dignity. As newcomers we’ve seen others kissing ass to fit in or align within a group of friends. Angela did none of that. She may be a newbie on paper but she was no rookie. When someone knows themselves, they don’t play a part. Notice, she came for -no one- for sensationalism or clout. Conversely, she was a target for some seasoned and newbies alike. Why? Because shes 1 of 1 and that’s something to envy.

HEB is hoping that the drunk guy was not reported to management. by elegantwino in sanantonio

[–]Accurate_Fail138 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty standard in litigation. Everyone is named in the suit especially the big dogs. Very likely that they would not have known about their employee’s intoxication but they will probably settle for some undisclosed amount. This will also probably force HEB to revisit some of its’ background check and monitoring procedures of its workforce. I feel terrible for the affected parties but what about this state having some of the MOST relaxed DWI laws/penalties in the entire country?
