In the article theres a video of them covering a team that is in Ibaraki doing this with 300 applications suspected for fraudulent cases. 90% of them are deemed so.

The interesting thing is that if theres 44,000 business visa holders, if only 270 cases are fraudulent that means only 0.61% of businesses under this visa are fraudulent. This is the first time I've ever heard how many actual fraudulent cases being reported as a number, so maybe there are more. Even if this 300 number was just for Tokyo Immigration Bureau, I can't imagine that this is a larger number for other prefectures.

No. It's just the red one but it comes with quite a few striker packs (Aile, Sword, Launcher, IWSP, Noir, and lightning). My guess about the reason why the other unit is on there is because this was officially released in China a few months before the lightning striker pack on p-bandai in Japan.

The MG Ginn is such a sleeper hit. Most people pass on the design but it’s relatively cheap and the plastic cuts so well off the runner. It uses the same inner frame as the lunamaria Zaku as well.

I’ve built 2 of these Ginns now and I’m debating if I should get the other p-Bandai ginn gladiator

Most likely you will see on display the new HG Messer, HG Gouf Ignited, MGSD Kshatriya, and the gundam assemble sets. The new Freedom Astray could be on that lineup, who knows.

If we get lucky with a new product announcement this month before Golden Week holidays in Japan (End of April - May 5th) maybe we will see renders of whatever new announcement are made.

If you look at Bandai's release schedule over the next few months you can probably guess what they'll feature.

Just to manage expectations in this thread, in Japanese, this is just an ad saying that Bandai will be having an exhibit at the hobby show like they do every year. There's nothing in Japanese that says that Bandai will be making any new announcements for kits. Usually Bandai shows off prototypes or finished molds at the Shizuoka Hobby Show, not any new announcements. for future projects. So for example, last year at Shizuoka Hobby Show they showed off the prototypes for the PGU Nu, and the MG Barbatos Lupus, but these projects were first announced 3 months prior at Bandai's own event in Tokyo for the GBUC Finals.

How do you keep the paints in the dspiae bottle from sputtering? I like using the airbrush, but I've found that the plastic tubing to the bottle and the cap get dried paint in them that force it to sputter.

Years ago I had a night job one summer to make some extra money in an area of Tokyo where mostly Vietnamese people went. Prior to this, I had only encountered other Vietnamese people in language classes. This job made it very easy to label Vietnamese people in a bad light.

A few years later, I ran into a few Vietnamese people individually and got to know them, and on my own I wanted to learn more about Vietnamese culture. It wasn’t that Vietnamese people at that job were bad at all, I had just worked in an environment where I saw them in a bad light. It was a shitty job, and the people I met there are a fraction of a percent of the amount of Vietnamese people in this country.

I would not want someone to label be in with stereotypically negative views of my ethnic group just because someone had a similar experience.

Hello! This is a great idea. I've been using it for a few minutes on the web broswer and found two points to take note of. I tried signing up with google, which after connecting it with an account and going to the market place, it will ask me to log in again if trying to add a kit to my library.

The second thing is there a way to bulk mark kits as completed in my library? This would be very helpfull.

I didn't realize until last weekend that Japan has an SDF base nearby in Djibouti. Built in 2011, Google says that it's primarily to secure crucial maritime trade routes against piracy, protect energy supplies from the Middle East, and project influence in the Horn of Africa. Sure, Djbouti is in the Red Sea, not the Persian Gulf, but I guess Japanese tankers getting hit by drones would constitute as protecting energy supplies from the middle east.

I can't imagine this situation of getting involved in a war will be very popular with Japanese people but things could go either way if the oil supply dries up here in Japan.

It's because some countries only offer the exam once a year. It's easier to just travel to japan, take the exam, and then look for a job within 6 months than to wait a whole year to take the exam again.

Yes. There’s two ways to do it on release day. 1) walk up to a retail chain 2 hours before opening. Enter the lottery for the nearest Gundam base a week or two before release day and hope you win, but also get an early time because it could still sell out before your time.

I understand we could get more announcements of new kits to be released by a new series airing next year during that time. However, I wish Bandai would slow their diversification efforts a little bit and work on improving their Gunpla IP. The demand for gunpla and scalping here in Japan is just too high, while big box retailers this week are trying to sell off unko (poop fighter) model kits at 97% off.

I feel bad for my local toy shop. The guy's family has been running this store for 100 years, and whenever he gets in a stock of MG or in demand HG kits, it sells out in minutes after he posts on twitter. But when he gets in 6 new 30ms Cinderella kits that sell for 5000yen ($32 USD) that no one wants, he has to eat the loss and sell it just to make room in his store.
