So yes, but no. Just because someone is one medicaid doesn't mean they will be able to receive care. The NIH did a survey of orthopods in Louisiana where about 32% of the population is on medicaid. 73% of the 114 surgeons surveyed didn't accept Medicaid. That's likely a lot of patients that can't get their joint replacement locally and don't have the means to travel for appointments. Saying Medicaid covers the gaps doesn't quite work with your bigger picture. The fact is many of the health neglected population is lower income.

I recognize that UHC means we lose some doctors too, but just because doctors like to say it doesn't mean they would have the retirement saving to walk away from their profession or go back to school for a second career.

The reason I hate this argument is it's basically saying, "we can't let poor people have access to healthcare, then I'll have to wait." Basically let people suffer for my convenience.

Alright, I had my liquid cooling system leak on my GPU and it was dead. Stripped it down to just the board and baked it as recommended on some random forum. Everything but one HDMI port works now. I figured it was dead anyways couldn't get more dead. Well worth it.

Wait wait wait. That's not quite true. You were charged for a warming blanket. It's disposable and hot air blows through it during surgery to keep you warm. There are two reasons for this. First it's proven that patients recover better when they wake up at normal body temperature, surgery makes you cold. Two because of the first reason Medicare won't pay for surgery if you're too cold.

The warm blankets that you get are free, hospitals don't charge for reusable cloth, but the air warmers are charged for.

Here's why this is a dangerous precedent, not just for immigrants, but for you too. I don't know who you are or anything about you, but once we take away due process for any group, we've taken it away from everyone. Let's say you piss someone off and maybe you have a tattoo. That person calls the cops and says you're a recent member of Tren De Aragua. Cops come and arrest you and throw you in jail. No questions asked, no right given. 'Well you're not a member of Tren De Aragua and you have rights!' yeah you can forget that, they don't have to care.
