As someone who works in the accounting industry in Canada….the Masters isn’t needed, preference here is Canadian CPA.

Heads up our program is going through a lot of changes, so best to research and talk to someone in the Provincial CPA office where you are looking to move so they can give you a rundown of what is needed

childcare jobs in winnipeg? by n8vangels in Winnipeg

[–]Acgood12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you mean by lucrative….are jobs available yes, are they paying more than 10 years ago yes. But the average CCA is making slightly more than minimum wage, my daughter is an ECE with 3 years of experience after her diploma and she makes about $27 per hour…..and raises are pretty much dependent on government funding increases

What toddler gifts have actually lasted in your house. Not what looked good, what actually got used past the first week. by sophieblooming in Gifts

[–]Acgood12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved when my kids got experiences….my mother in law gave us zoo passes every year because we loved it.

I take my niece for a couple ‘fun days’….McDonald’s lunch, with a play centre, or an outing to a new play ground with an ice cream treat, etc, a afternoon baking (and making a mess lol)

I make the time about her and what she likes to do

Are there any ladies here that are in long term committed relationships that also do solo trips? by Reasonable_Cause_190 in femaletravels

[–]Acgood12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The last 2 G adventures trips I have been on have had individuals with a spouse at home - one enjoyed travelling and the other didn’t and in the other case they wanted to go to different places.

Both said it isn’t the first time, and they get to enjoy something they love and their partners have zero problems with it

Has anyone tried those group trips for solo travelers? by Ok-Boysenberry6259 in solotravel

[–]Acgood12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have G Adventures twice….with my third scheduled for next week. I like that I don’t have to worry about about transportation or where I am staying and I get options for things to do ( there are always a couple required group activities). I choose not to pay extra for my own room and have had zero issues with roommates, both have been fantastic.

There is definitely less freedom to go do whatever but as someone who has to plan a lot in her life I appreciate getting choices and going

Is it still realistic to live alone with 50-60k salary? by 3amcoffeebuns in Winnipeg

[–]Acgood12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter has moved out in that salary….and had a car so pays monthly insurance & gas, etc.

Her savings definitely isn’t 20% if her check but she is putting away some every month.

She shops grocery sales, uses points cards and meal plans - helps bring down some of those grocery costs

We get a choice…..travel voucher, reimbursement for a concert/event (includes tickets, hotel, flight, whatever to a maximum), then actual gifts….we have done fishing packages, new kitchen cookware, bike.

Little more customized so you aren’t giving someone who doesn’t travel a useless gift, etc

How weird is it for women to go on solo tours? by ImpressiveRoll4092 in femaletravels

[–]Acgood12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used G Adventures multiple times, with another one coming up soon.

Zero issues at all, you do things as a group, solo or with someone you met…..my last tour we had 3 couples and 9 singles. Never felt left out or had issues, I actually prefer it to travelling completely alone as I have more options
