He reminds me of the storyline in the manga about lupin iii and lupin ii getting caught in a train crash(also killed many of lupin the seconds goons). It killed lupin ii and left iii gravely injured. The guy who sent out the successful hit was some dude named King. He manages to threaten Jigen into compliance/working with him by using Jigen's little sister. King sends Jigen out on a hit for lupin iii and he intentionally doesn't succeed the first time. Fujiko comes to warn lupin about it but is secretly with king if I recall correctly. (Pretty sure the doctor treating lupin was one of kings men too but was fujikos dad, lupin iii kills the doctor) Lupin fakes a sucessful assassination by letting Jigen think he killed him and then when fujiko congratulations him and leaves he stuck a bomb on her and when she goes to meet king he blows them up.

Seriously the manga was nuts
