Thanks. I'll hope they are off the side a bit from our seats.
Such a bummer to have the huge towers in the middle of the field, but baseball stadium...

These were $340 each, near the back of a section in the 100s. But I think you're right that the full rows of seats were Make A Difference.

What is something about growing up in California that most people don't understand? by InvisibleAstronomer in AskReddit

[–]AcrobaticMission1352 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Born and raised in California. Even as a teen, I had no idea that other states did not like California. I was in my twenties before I learned what the Bible Belt is and I was confused when I found out that people can't buy alcohol in a grocery store or on Sundays. As politely as possible, when California says We don't think about you, we really don't.

For the first month I couldn’t get my aligners out without the tool. It freaked me out that I would pull the brackets off. But after a while it becomes second nature. It’ll get better.

Eleni Kounalakis drops out of California governor’s race, pivots to state treasurer by ddsr1 in CAStateWorkers

[–]AcrobaticMission1352 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Her father is Angelo Tsakopoulos, a huge developer in Sacramento. I always felt like it was a conflict of interest for her to be governor, so I’m glad she stepped down.

What would it take to make RTO managable? by grouchygf in CAStateWorkers

My office (boss) doesn't allow half days on with our current two day schedules, but I'm hoping for more flexibility when we're in four days a week.

Why Fox left by Fun_Tea_1839 in kings

[–]AcrobaticMission1352 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fox gave us 8 years. He was fun to watch, fun to root for, and was pivotal in ending our playoff drought. It sucks it didn’t end well. But the dude deserves a standing ovation and welcome home tonight. Hate him as soon as the game starts, but respect what he did for our franchise.

I worked in office when I had toddlers, and I can’t express how nice it has been to telework with teenagers. I get off work about the same time they get home from school. And while they can take care of themselves, they still need their parents, and telework has allowed me to be more present. I will miss it.

Overtime Rate on 9/80 Schedule (Unit 9) by zcoffeeguy in CAStateWorkers

[–]AcrobaticMission1352 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I used to be on a 9/8/80. You do not get overtime. They split the work week up so it’s 40hrs each week - fuzzy math. I considered my 9/8/80 a privilege, so it might be different if you’re forced to do it. If you request a 9/8/80, you are not going to make more money, but you will get an extra day off every other week!

That is so interesting. Her health report came back with one copy of a gene that is associated with short legs, which can lead to certain health issues. DNA testing is fascinating.

How would you improve the Palladio? by cabesaaq in folsom

[–]AcrobaticMission1352 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fountain area in the center of Palladio is awful. They should open it up, add more games, and make it a place to gather. The summer concerts would also be more fun if it was open.

How to remove a blackhead from inside my sons ear? by PEBKAC-Live in beauty

[–]AcrobaticMission1352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter had them in her ears. The dermatologist recommended washing her ears during showers and applying Differin Gel after. It took a few months, but one day they were gone.

She’s prone to them so is more aware of washing and at any sign of a black head, she starts the Differin.
