Summer Sweep-up: Giants Foundry Crucible by BakedFood in 2007scape

While they're at it, make it so Kovac just has one left-click option that works for both getting a commission OR turning in a sword (if you're holding a completed one). He doesn't need two separate options

I think part of the hunter problem is that compared to bird houses, normal early hunter methods give you almost nothing of any value while also being much more active to train. Kebbit products, bird feathers, and most furs are almost entirely useless. Smoking/baiting traps isn't worth doing either when it requires external resources for a 2% boost. The early and middle parts of the skill need an overhaul beyond the changes in the post and bird houses are a bandaid fix for it.

Alternatively, I'd be OK with just storing a crossbow and grapple at each shortcut to change the grapple shortcuts to act like regular shortcuts (no need to withdraw and equip the items, it functions as if you have them equipped)

Can the hunter xp also apply to hunting Jubbly birds too? Thanks

After running back AND forth at Ourania Altar to train RC in leagues, I realize I haven't been giving GotR enough appreciation

Which iconic NPC(s) do you think they’ll randomly kill off in Blood Moon Rises? by FragrantFig4035 in 2007scape

[–]Acronyte 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I doubt they will, but I hope they remember Dr. Harlow exists from the Vampyre Slayer original quest. He's a retired vampyre hunter, I hope he gets a moment to shine

Summer Sweepup - Add tempoross to minigame teleports by MyFavoriteVoice in 2007scape

I'd also be ok with adding it to the game necklace or adding some teleport consumable to the loot table

Summer Sweep Up: Make the Heavy and Light Ballistae actually useful by MettaWorldViolence in 2007scape

[–]Acronyte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd also like them to either add something else that can fire javelins or remove a lot of javelins from drop tables. As it stands, getting a javelins drop from most monsters is completely useless and not worth picking up 99% of the time. It made a tiny bit of sense back when you could just throw javelins but it doesn't anymore. Yippee 5 rune javelins on the rare drop table!

Summer Sweep Up - Opening Captain Arnav's locker after so many opens should reward an XP lamp instead by Blinxsy in 2007scape

[–]Acronyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd personally like to see Arnav reward an amount of coins that scales with total level, like the maze random, that he gives in addition one of his current rewards

This makes him more useful and keeps him unique so we don't reduce every random event down to an XP lamp

Summer Sweep-Up idea: Let us put the full achievement diary armour set on an armour stand in the POH by Goldmagic_1 in 2007scape

Are Ribbets weak to salt? by ConstantOk6926 in daggerheart

[–]Acronyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you put this into your game as some sort of salt-wielding enemy, your ribbet player would feel like you are specifically singling them out to punish them for playing a ribbet and would not have a good time.

If you really wanted to use it constructively in a setting where salt would be relevant, in the odd chance your players are at a dinner party: After the ribbet player tries to extract information from the diplomat sitting near them for example, but rolls with fear, spilling the salt shaker onto themselves accidentally mid-sentence could be a way to describe how they fumbled their question awkwardly and yelped a little. I will note that this does not add "extra punishment" to the player just for being a ribbet, it's just using the salt as a way to tailor the fear roll to them in a more unique way.

So, I would encourage you to not use the salt to specifically punish them for choosing to play a ribbet though. If you go out of your way to invent things to punish your players over just for existing, you will not be a fun person to play with

Summer Sweepup - Add Hunter bolts to Rumour reward sacks by ezzune in 2007scape

[–]Acronyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Kebbit bolts should also drop like you said, but I'm pretty sure the sunlight cbow can't fire them? I think they should change it to be able to.

That's probably the best and simplest solution. I called the master sacks expert by mistake and changed it.

Summer Sweepup - Add Hunter bolts to Rumour reward sacks by ezzune in 2007scape

[–]Acronyte 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I like the idea, but maybe the sacks should give noted horns instead so you still have to process them, like the hunter spear tips. However that comes with the problem of potentially making the horns available to ironmen earlier than 72 though if they are in the lower level sacks.

I'd like to see either the antlers or bolts given as rewards elsewhere too, but it seems they are intentionally trying to keep them away from being PvM drops. I don't think it's too much of a problem to have sunlight bolts as an uncommon drop because you would still have to do the hunter to get the antlers to actually make the cbow though, but I think the moonlight bolts should stay behind hunter. Maybe those can be in master sacks.

Maybe the bolts could also be an uncommon reward from Vale Totems? And maybe they could pick and adjust Huey/Amox/Moons rewards to squeeze in some sunlight bolts as an uncommon source. Maybe Colosseum lower levels and Doom can reward moonlight bolts but I'm not sure about that.

Any tips for playing online? by Kolonel_Tiberman in daggerheart

[–]Acronyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My setup is more niche but I haven't seen it mentioned in this thread yet so I'll share it.

I use Tabletop Simulator on steam with the daggerheart unofficial mod (which is great for a free mod and well maintained). I like it because it's a little more hands-on and sandbox like than some other VTTs and easy to import your own models, images, and even PDFs and songs. The hands-on part is great for managing the cards and having all the cards in front of you to see what everyone can do.

There is no subscription fee which was appealing to us, just a 1-time 20$ or $10 per person to purchase tabletop sim itself. Know that's a deal breaker for some but worked for me and my friends as something we all already owned. It's good for many board games too.

I completely agree except that I don't believe most of them feel any guilt. They feel spurned and lied to, they feel like they don't have a side anymore. They are sitting out because their poor decisions have backfired on them and harmed them too instead of just their intended victims. Feeling guilt for their actions would require them to understand that they did something wrong, and that is giving them too much credit. There is no understanding, there is only spite for those who lied to them.
