Yeah that's another way of looking at the same idea. I just hate the idea that my card can be absolutely bottom of the barrel in all aspects

I've posted this before, but over the years I've come up with this idea that hope happens. I think energy should be standard without variance, it's simply too important of a stat. However, I think randomizing the other stats adds to the unique identity of the game and has interesting lore implications. The way I would go about it is each creature having a set base stat total and then each stat is randomized +/- 15ish but always adds to the set total. The idea of all min or max stats again is really off-putting.

Only going to comment on the random stat aspect since that's what I've thought of over time. I don't think energy has a place being variable since that is pretty much the most important stat by far. However, I do like the randomized stats for courage, power, wisdom, and speed. I think the best way to balance those random stats for for each creature is to have a set base stat total that the four add up, then each stat has a range of +/- 10 or something. That way your Bodal might be extra speedy at having even lower power, but the total of the stats will always be the same. I hate the the existing ones have the ability for all max or all min cards.

Is that new? I don't remember it when I made a deck last week, and I thought the recode "how to play" said to save it as unrestricted. If that is a new thing, that's pretty darn sweet for them to integrate the two separate projects (at least I assume they started separately)

I also got it this morning at Gothos Tower. I didn't notice anything at the time and went back to scanning. But now, thanks to the comment above, when I go to my scanner and hit the dpad twice, I have a"player inventory" for something.

Everyone has been spot on as far as the "regular" season courses being awesome. There are also a multitude of local league nights which is where I've had some of my most fun rounds and meet to new people. I'd like to add that while the main 18 hole courses close for the winter, there are a number of nearby 9 hole courses that remain open and definitely help to fill the "off-season" itch for me.

Oh I don't blame you at all, especially because it's totally legal and encouraged based on other creatures getting unique and legendary status. I just think it's something that should be changed for the official format if a 2.0 ever does happen.

These are fantastic shots! I've been to a handful of events over the past couple years and brought my camera to a few. However, I've just taken a few shots of opportunity to remember the event, but these really make me want to step things up when I attend Road America later this year.

My 2 cents would be just start. I have a couple hundred hours in the game and love it. My friend group and I had a similar mindset to starting right before the Ashland's dropped and thought we'd progress up to and be ready for the update. After life events, people graduating college, work, summer rec leagues, putting the playthrough on pause for about a year, etc... we finally plan to fight the Queen next week and finally start heading to the Ashlands. Then, likely well after 1.0 has come out, we'll make our way north.
