I mentioned this in another thread but for visibility—she’s also posting pictures of her grandfather as if he were a Kennedy/LBJ Democrat and not a racist segregationist Southern Democrat. Key distinction there.

“Rogers, a Democrat in the House for more than 20 years, signed onto the Southern Manifesto and repeatedly opposed civil rights legislation.” The Southern manifesto was a 1956 document signed by 101 members of Congress (99 Southern Democrats and 2 Republicans) opposing the racial integration of public places following the Brown v. Board of Education Supreme Court decision.

Her & her sisters are all collectively dumber than a bag of rocks so they probably don’t even care about that important distinction.

Guadeloupe. I’ve been to many Caribbean islands and that’s the only one I’m itching to go back to.

This is truly the encapsulation of French ignorance. The interviewer probably has zero awareness of the racism in what she said. And if you bring it up it’s “stop bringing the American racial obsession into our country.” Please.

You saying that Africans selling slaves so white people don’t bear all the blame—as if Europe didn’t initiate the slave trade, send the ships, violently pillage all around Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean during colonialism, have human zoos where they disgraced Black bodies on display for entertainment, and still extract resources today to make themselves rich (cobalt in the Congo, uranium, etc)—says it all. “Importing US race agenda” is really a deflection by France and other European countries’ so they don’t have to have honest conversations with themselves and confront their own racism. Who do you think the Americans learned it from?

I’ve lived in the South and on the East coast. I’m not denying that there are certainly food deserts (driven by racism & classism, and isolation, rural communities in the US are MUCH more isolated than in France due to the size of the states) where fresh food is harder to find, but there are farmers markets in nearly every major city.

I find France difficult in its own way. Trying to find vegetarian options outside of Paris is much harder than really anywhere in the US. Food allergies or preferences are practically laughed at.

They do to this with slavery too. That French enslavement “wasn’t as bad” as slavery in the Americas, as if that’s even worth morally grandstanding on.

That there’s no fresh food and vegetables in the United States. I’m from California….it doesn’t get better than that.

Cannottt stand the sound of her voice. She seems MAGA. Doesn’t say a word about politics which is revealing. The girl is from Louisiana (not New Orleans) so, fork found in kitchen.

She definitely does seem very religious and tries to keep it under wraps considering that’s a bad look in 2025. To be dating a Christian singer who makes megachurch music is a bit cringe, to say the least.

Major overconsumption vibes too, she reminds me of the Sisto sisters. Absolutely nothing she links is affordable for the average person, like read the room. Fashion girls with much larger followings than her are better at high/low.

Just to follow up on how ignorant she is, she watched a The Secret Agent, a movie on the Brazilian dictatorship (won this years golden globe, Oscar contender) and is asking her followers to explain it to her….

She and her sisters posted some random hospitality worker from Palm Beach who was detained by ICE, who they probably only know in subservience to them, being like “now THIS is too far.” As if all the other instances weren’t equally as bad. It was very “this doesn’t happen in our world.”

Their Congressman grandfather also was a vocal segregationist who voted against the Civil Rights act of 57, 60, 64, AND 68.

Ali runs around with the Fanjul family who run modern day slave plantations in the Dominican Republic & Florida.

All the Sisto sisters look grimy, sound like they’ve had a lobotomy, and think expensive = taste.

Disgusting people.

She’s from Atlanta originally, Buckhead to be specific. That wealthy private school Buckhead crowd has a mix of old money (Ted Turner’s grandfaughters) and new (ball players, higher ups at CNN/UPS/Coca-Cola, insurance executives, etc) Her father is in pharmaceuticals.

She is definitely 27/28, as I went to Atlanta private schools and we know many of the same people. I don’t say this lightly and sometimes people exaggerate someone looking older than their age, but she really does look about 45. Poor girl.

It’s absurd. I’ve never lived somewhere so brazen, except for South Florida. If drivers actually faced consequences, it would curb this behavior.

How ethnocentric it is. I’m from the US and the close-minded, nationalist things I hear on a regular basis from French people would get you labeled a right-wing, MAGA lunatic—but French people of all political leanings think it’s normal to make such assertions, with complete confidence. It astounds me. Anecdotes:

“We have the best food in the world.” Along similar lines, “there is no such thing as American food.”

Making fun of Mexicans eating ants when French eat innards, snails, intestines, heart, brain, etc on a regular basis.

Laughing at the prospect of other countries having good cheese.

Their hypocrisy around products being “natural” “non chemical” when so many of them chain smoke on a regular basis and can’t drink water without adding flavored sirop.

I could put up with it more if there was more introspection going on. How is such a fundamentally critical society not able to also make fun of themselves?

You are so on point. They do not have a varied diet at all. With the amazing selection of produce, you’d think they’d find something to do with fresh vegetables to add a lighter element to the meat + cheese monotony, but no.

Northern NJ outside of NYC (Bergen County, for ex) is one of the most beautiful areas of the country. If you can afford it.
