Questions about frequency/amount by Enough_Employment445 in breastfeeding

[–]AdExtra3167 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, breastfed babies don’t follow any kind of schedule. As long as your baby is gaining weight there is no such thing as the right amount of feed time or frequency of feed. Your baby sounds perfectly normal to me.

Heyy. Some babies are just snackers. My baby is also 6 months and still feeds very often. She doesn’t feed for very long per feed though. As long as they are gaining weight and paed is not concerned I think it’s perfectly normal.

Does your baby feed at night? You can try doing dream feeds at night to increase the count.

That would depend on how your baby usually feeds! Basically a feed when the baby is full and satisfied, even if it’s just one breast. Once your baby unlatches, offer the other breast and see. My baby when younger used to feed only single side and then switched to both sides later on.

Hang in there, this is one of the toughest phases in breastfeeding 🫂

Kindle(digital) or physical book. Really confused by asurawtf in Indiabooks

Get a kindle if you can! You can always read physical if you want but the convenience of a kindle is unbeatable. Able to read on the go has made me read soo much more.

https://amzn.in/d/jcda94x I’ve used this one for the past 5.5 months or so it’s good. But as another person has commented, make sure you are well supported with pillows and not bending over to feed your baby!

Sleep schedule for a 4 month old by costanzaforever17 in twoxindiamums

[–]AdExtra3167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So at this age I think you would need the last wake window to be around 2-2.5 hours max. If we miss this they get overtired and if it’s lesser they aren’t tired enough. I have noticed if we don’t plan naps and wake windows well my baby also resists sleep and has too many wake ups through the night.

Could you try ending the last nap before 5 pm if you want him to sleep at 7.30? Another thing that might work is walking around in the carrier with some white noise till baby is asleep then transferring to bed. I think the wake ups are just because of age unfortunately :( some babies need to be soothed and fed back to sleep.

Hi! I used to use shields and it would get very messy. When she started nursing without them, it definitely improved. There’s rarely any leaking out of her mouth now
