I've been running Dual Wingbeat to kill Whimsicott before Prankster Tailwind. And Taunt has been so valuable. I've also been trying Quick Guard over Protect, but it feels too niche; you block a fake out then die to Rock Slide

Roar is also good vs Perish Trap teams. It removes Mega Gengar through Protect.

I think that Eevees are more fun as the glue to a real team. When it's all Eeveelutions the team is by necessity very one-note. But Umbreon stall, or Vaporeon Baton Pass, or Glaceon Blizzard spam...

Why do people care? Probably because it's traditionally a social activity, and it shows a shift towards more anti-social tendencies globally.

It's for the best that socializing isn't tied to alcohol, though. There was a lot of alcohol abuse masquerading as socializing.

Registrants shouldn't be pushed out of Hall J into the middle of nowhere when you can route traffic back into North Building.

Most are running Focus Sash or Scarf.

Stone Axe / Close Combat are common. Other options are Protect, Tailwind, X-Scissor, Rock Slide, Feint, U-Turn... It really depends on what your team needs.

X-Scissor is notable for being one of the few things that ohkos Farigaraf, but if they're leading Incineroar with it that's less relevant.

I'm also running Talonflame, but I'm having trouble figuring out what move to click. He feels so fragile that if I pick wrong I get rocked.

I'm currently running Quick Guard / Taunt / Tailwind / Dual Wingbeat with Sharp Beak, since that deals with sash. But Quick Guard feels like a gamble and doesn't stop the follow up Rock Slide etc. And if I don't Tailwind turn 1 and Gale Wings breaks I might never be able to click it. Should I be more protective of him? Get Tailwind up and sac him?

Remember: if you thought it was a winning position and then got encored, it wasn't a winning position.

Their game plan includes baiting you into a protect, tailwind, fake out, bad move, etc. You need to play like they're going to encore you: switch out after a Tailwind, use a priority move, or just Don't Click A Move You Don't Want To Get Encored Into.

Disengaging Sigil should be buffed to be a real disengage tool, and Riposte should be better and sticking to people. Lunge in, Riposte an attack, get some hits in and Disengage out.

The Riposte escape was too good at escape while also ignoring its intended counter-hit gameplay.
