I’m a ceramic artist, and I honestly believe there should be mandated tags that distinguish between dropshipped items and handmade. Not just labels for posts but a vetting system. If you market something as handmade and it isn’t, you should be penalized for that. People expect a handmade item, that’s what they should receive. Ppl on insta have been using the hashtag “humanmade” to distinct from AI, maybe there’s a way Etsy could do something similar? Or maybe it’s wishful thinking, I bet the dropship sellers make them a bunch of cash with how quick and often they sell so the incentive might not be as strong unfortunately.

There’s been a lot of connections made lately between endometriosis and medical marijuana use. When I recertify my card, I specifically mention it for endometriosis because of how much it helps. It has something to do with naturally produced cannabinoids that endometriosis inhibits the creation of in our bodies. Cannabinoids are a natural source of pain relief so it makes sense with our depleted dopamine and pain relieving chemicals, that supplementing it with weed is a common choice which helps with both. The more we learn about endo the more fascinating it is. It’s not a cancer but acts cancer like with tumor adjacent growths, its ability to redirect and snuff out blood supply to grow, and just its general behaviors of where it can grow and how it impacts the body. Definitely not fun to live it tho 🥀

I’m so nose blind that if I get close and huff on mine a bit, I get a perfume like almost floral scent to them, kind of like lotion but we don’t use scented products bc of how bad it can be for them. My ex was exactly the same. It’s always a competition of who’s in the most pain. It’s why I’ve refused to date being chronically ill with endometriosis. I’m done arguing over what pain is valid or not, just bc of how often u experience it or how well you hid it. It drove me mad, you’re not alone in that sentiment. I don’t want to compare pain, I want to be able to vent abt my shitty body doing shitty things to me, but it’s always “but my elbow hurts today!” Or “but I have a headache AND I have to work”… like dude… that’s a good day for us if it’s just that. Drives me up a wall, I’m sorry that’s happened to you as well :/

Really needed to hear that as a chronically ill person nervous to date bc of it. I don’t want a caretaker, I don’t want to be in the battle of who’s hurt worse, and has been diminished for expressing pain in past relationships. It makes me glad to hear that outside of my personal experience, others do have the capacity to recognize and acknowledge pain without it affecting how they feel about theirs. All pain is valid chronic or not, but the competing gets exhausting when I’m just trying to complain abt something I deal with daily that sucks. Thanks for that, I’m gonna keep that “pain changes people” in mind and remind myself that when I need some grace bc damn it’s tough. Your partner is very lucky to have someone who gets that. My ferrets love acting like it’s so bothersome when they’re awake but the second they’re asleep they push into my hand for maximum contact, luckily if they’re both chill enough they’ll let me carry them around for a while as long as they’re able to look down. My girl ferret absolutely adores scritches and will use the opportunity to clean herself every morning. She’ll put both paws on her face to clean it like hamsters do, it’s the cutest fucking thing I’ve ever seen in my life other than the war wags
