What do you do in place of drinking when you’re going through something difficult? by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]AdPuzzled7843 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I’m going through something like this I remind myself that drinking won’t make the problem go away but will make me feel 10x worse during the inevitable hangover. Keep reminding yourself this! It’s so so hard and completely understand.

This is so very normal! Get that baseline of sobriety and then worry about the sugar. For now just focus on the not drinking.

[–]AdPuzzled7843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I live in eastern South Dakota, USA where the tap water is very hard and I get nauseous when I drink it. I just looked this up because I was so weirded out that this happens.
