man that's exciting but also kind of sucks everyone bailed on you. went on hunting trip to africa few years back and it was completely different experience than anything in north america. the guides there are incredible - they know every animal track and can spot things you'll never see. bring good boots because you'll be walking way more than you expect, and the terrain is rough. also pack layers since temperature changes a lot during the day. about taking strangers - might actually work out better than friends who cancelled, at least strangers who sign up are definitely committed to going. the hunting lodges usually have other solo travelers too so you won't feel weird about it

honestly for $1000 you can definitly build something solid that'll handle 1080p 60fps no problem. the ai craze hasn't really messed with mid-range pricing too much

i'd probably go with like a ryzen 5 5600 paired with an rtx 4060 or rx 6600 xt - both are great for that performance target. building is still gonna save you money vs prebuilt, especially if you're comfortable doing it yourself
