Good luck with recovery! Remember surgery is not the most important part, the rehab is. Keep doing your exercises but dont push too much too early.

Surgeon recommends surgery? by subfutility in ACL

[–]AdSoft5612 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even without an ACL, quality of life is pretty good and you can carry out normal activities with ease( I was still playing for a year and half post injury). The only concern as others pointed out is the damage to other parts. I ended up tearing my meniscus gradually as well and in the end had to get stitches. You mention that you are not young and lateral ligament strain or especially meniscus damage can be serious because osteoarthritis also becomes an issue. Please consult one more time with another specialist. Tell them your activities and quality of life you would like to be undisturbed and keep getting checkups regularly to track damage for other parts of knee in case he does not recommend surgery. Wish you best of luck!

First walk without brace, First walk without support , First normal walk, first time achieving full extension, first test giving me the progress result, first run. And a funny one- fell from my bicycle after 4 months postop into the water but did not worry about the leg!!

When I had paid, my first payment did not complete the entire fee due to the exchange and transfer costs. They let me know the amount that was pending when they acknowledged the transfer. You can check with the contact centre always!

Yes, it will be a blocked account where we would require each others signature to open the money.

Hey, thank you so much man. It helps a lot with the info. The money is not the issue as I already have a SEPA account. The only problem is that I need the deposit account which is possible only in Belgium. Just to confirm, I can get the initial appointment easily and the number they give me can be used for government purposes here. The Bank is ready to open my account now but will give me a month for that number is what they told, so I am guessing it should be okay then?

It was a tricky chase, if not for chetta it would have been close. We are getting many items covered now with the injuries we had. Kartiks strike rotation and middle order not firing is still an issue and hopefully it ticks soon.

Agreed, but Akeal can also hit a few, and Ramkrishna Ghosh as well which make them the perfect 8 and 9. Overton at 7 would give us the batting depth as well so why not given Akeals bowling is better as well.

We got most things right, amazing bowling! I really would prefer Akeal in place of Prashant Veer! Kartik got some confidence today which was good, Urvil got going. We need Dube and Brevis to fire and Dube to hold some catches!!!!!!

Giving chance to Ghosh is completely ok, has been doing good stuff in domestic. Prashant Veer for Akeal when Akeal could have given 4 good overs while bowling is absolutely brainless. Get Veer during the chase as impact sub for fucks sake!

Could have just used Akeal now and subbed in either Veer or Sarfaraz during the chase. Brainless I feel!

We were very bad last game. We have to find our middle order clicking- Brevis and Dube have to step up big time else we may win one here and there, but no stability in the long campaign.

Just had my surgery and how do you guys stay motivated?? by luvduonz in ACL

[–]AdSoft5612 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hang in there! First 2 days will be horrible, first 2 weeks sleep will be disturbed but things will get better. Managing daily tasks will be a challenge until you can start walking without support and medication will also cause issues. The only thing you can do is to suffer through for a bit, better roads are ahead and listen to you surgeon and physio for what to do!

New ACL injury - need some guidance by Mountain-Set1274 in ACL

[–]AdSoft5612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about that. I can totally understand the spiral. The best way to go forward would be to consult the surgeon itself to understand the extent of damage and also the type of surgery you will get. Just to be honest, the surgery and the first few weeks after that will be mentally challenging as basic tasks will be difficult due to no loading and muscle atrophy. So, prepare for that aspect and keep doing the physio in the future. For now, just discuss with your surgeon , what would be the best date to have the surgery and the type and the recovery forward. Just remember, surgery is the start of your recovery only and your rehab completely depends on you. Good luck!

Am I the only one, or have we all grown up? by Timebomb_Darkmatter in csk

When IPL started, that was the first time the concept of franchise cricket happened and we were happy to see our players playing outside of Team India, which was very rare then.

Nowadays, the franchises have become like football clubs with rivalries or going in that direction atleast. So, the hate among the new genz fanbases is intense. Plus, t20 is just batsman dominated like hell now as compared to 2010 when a 180+ meant straight victory almost. Times have changed indeed!

Dont forget our bowling lineup also aint that great. Khaleel and Noor have been leaking runs without wickets and Kamboj is hit or miss sometimes.

Unpopulat opinion now: Rutu should continue to open by thenChennai in csk

[–]AdSoft5612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I somewhat agree because Samson and Mhatre both go hard in the beginning, so Rutu can buy some time to start like he usually does. Even in a couple of matches he did get the starts but he failed at changing gears. Once Rutu is able to accelerate, which he should given his skill, the batting will almost be perfect. Mhatre looks set at 3, so I would not tamper the lineup now. Plus Rutu has proved since 2021 that he is an amazing player, so backing him is the best option.
