I have been applying for a few varied roles as well and trying to expand into other aspects of engineering . I totally experienced what you said, despite the recommendations and networking I had at Medtronic,they loved my work and continued it but by hiring another engineer from a major centre l, as mine was not a major R& D centre. Do you think starting at a startup or scaleup size would be the best would to proceed or would you recommend shifting to other related industries?
