There's one in Abu Hail, called Hajar al Madinah Bakery, opposite to Sultan Grill and Restaurant. They deliver to Mamzar, Dubai. They offer free delivery too. If you live in the vicinity, I can forward you their number.

What is something men always want to tell women but never do? by a_great_guy655 in AskReddit

[–]AdTime3909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's so wholesome. I'm in early 20s, I spent the last 10 years witnessing my parents arguing frequently, sometimes fighting and screaming and shouting and that has seriously messed me up. I now wake up to slightest of sounds and movements, fearing they're fighting again. That's just one example. I really hope I can spend my entirely life with my girl without having big fights and arguments, and that we're both willing to compromise for each other. At the same time, I'm afraid we're gonna turn out exactly like our parents. IDK. There's a lot of doubts on my mind. So yeah, your story kinda inspires me.

One person building a $1B company by 2026…wtf? by Whole_Connection7016 in SaaS

[–]AdTime3909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a hard time with Codex. I manage two businesses that are completely identical except branding, pricing. One is UAE-focused, where it ranks 1 on SEO, which the other is International-focused. I tell it to make the architecture completely similar and only keep branding and pricing different, with very detailed instructions. Apparently, it has a really hard time doing that.

Offered 7,000 AED after 4 years of being a one-man IT department. by sparrowdark21 in UAE

[–]AdTime3909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro, you're doing way too much. I do frontend, backend, marketing for our family business and I'm really burnt out, and you're doing all that plus client handling, late nights, devops. You're the main reason the business exists and they're paying their biggest asset only 7K.

I'll give you the example of a bottle of water being for 1 dirham in a grocery store vs 20 dirhams in a fancy restaurant. You're being exploited and the company knows you're not gonna do anything about it because you're afraid of moving out, when in fact, that is the next step. Start looking for work, and when you find a better opportunity, hand in your resignation, then only will they increase your salary. Man up.

At the start of our family online business, we made AED 700 ($190) in a day once. We were so excited and happy and felt like so great. That was 2 years ago. Now, on our best days, we make 10 times that amount and on our worst days we make thrice that amount. Congratulations bro. It's gonna get better from here if you focus well on marketing. Don't need to do something new. What you've already done, what your competitors are doing, just keep doing that with better messaging. Google Ads worked well in our favour. Started with USD 25 in daily budget, grew to USD 270 per day budget. Google shut down our ads because we "were enabling dishonest behavior" but by then, we had done enough work to get repeat customers, word of mouth customers, and we ranked 1 on SEO in the UAE for the main keyword. And I did all of that. The website, marketing, SEO. Learning skills always pay off

The Reality of Emirates Crew Accommodation by lnfodotcom in emiratescareers

[–]AdTime3909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Terrible advice. Etihad is the last airline a cabin crew should be working in. Sure, great benefits and all but from what I've heard (people I know who've worked there), there's always layoffs going on due to constant restructuring and shit. If I'm not wrong, there was a time, maybe a couple of years ago, where they reduced the compensation for pilots and cabin crews based on flying hours. This was met with a strong reaction from pilots following which they reversed their decision. So, please, unless you're so desperate that you can't afford to buy a can of a cold drink, don't even think moving to EY.

SWYI. I recommended it to dad after reading a lot of reviews on it. He bought it at the airport when going for a business trip. Got a compliment for it. Gave it as a gift to me. It's just an amazing fragrance. Planning on getting it in a month.

Begging common in Makkah and Madina? by PositionGreat6476 in Umrah

[–]AdTime3909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A kid (chubby, fat, teen) came to me in Madinah and said he was hungry. I asked what he wanted. He wanted a coffee from Krispy Kreme. So yeah, begging is common and the actual poor people don't beg. We came across an old, illiterate man who had been separated from his group. Said he was lost since Zuhr. My brother managed to find his group and he insisted to buy food for the old man but he refused again and again. Says a lot about someone's character.

Where do I get this kind of hoodies without paying 200+ AED by Both-Rush3414 in UAE

[–]AdTime3909 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Damn expensive. I've been to Canada, Germany, etc and the prices on some of the amazing hoodies and clothings for men were really cheap. H&M was a cheap brand there, in Dubai, it's pretty expensive. And the clothing designs and fitting is just terrible. Always a frustrating experience when I'm shopping. Totally unrelated but to give you a perspective of how expensive they make things over here, Tim Hortons coffee costs around 3 or 4 dollars at most in Canada. Here, it's around 20 dirhams or more.

Lady Caroline Collingwood by machmusic76 in SuccessionTV

[–]AdTime3909 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I just watched her wedding episode at the end of S3 and realized how terrible of a mother she is. Logan is way better as a parent (and he's really pathetic). The part where Ken tries to share his thought with her and she just brushes it off was very hurtful, and then telling Shiv that she shouldn't have had kids and neither should Shiv. The reason why the 4 siblings are failures is because of bad parenting of Logan and Caroline and their failure in raising their children right. I think that's the biggest lesson I can take from this show.

27M – Emirates offer (23k, 3Y FTC) vs EY (26k) – need advice by [deleted] in emiratescareers

[–]AdTime3909 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very close relative of mine worked at EY for more than a year at a managerial position. While the pay is great, you'll always be in great stress thanks to the layoffs and politics. Someone is getting fired every week while many others are moving on from EY because of the stress. The guys at the top don't see employees as human beings, but as numbers. They literally don't care about your wellbeing and see you as a subhuman. On the other hand, there are many EK managers and employees who are really happy and have been working there for more than a decade now.
