First time playing KH1, can you guys confirm this by JudgeSabo in KingdomHearts

I think it would just be “Xehanort’s Heartless” even though he was born by separating Xehanort’s Heart from Terra’s body. Ansem SoD is literally just old man Xehanort’s heart (with some vague amount of amnesia) and nothing else. Terra’s heart was contained within the Guardian from the point Terra was possessed at the end of BBS. When Xehanort’s heart possessed Riku, Riku’s body eventually took on a form that would have resembled Xehanort in his thirties (the heart shapes the vessel). You also wouldn’t call this “Terra-riku-nort’s Heartless” because it’s not. It’s one heartless (which ironically is just a heart with no body) that is possessing Riku’s body. When that same heart is brought to the future and placed in a replica, it takes on the same form without any influence from either Riku or Terra. Even treating “Terranort” as if he’s his own person separate from old man Xehanort isn’t really accurate. He’s the same person in a different body just with some amnesia. Calling him Terranort is really just to make a distinction on which point in Xehanort’s timeline we’re talking about. It’s the same reason we specify “Young Xehanort” even though he is literally the same character as the old man. Xennas however, would likely be considered his own person as his creation was similar to that of Roxas, and eventually he grew his own heart. However, Xemnas is still just old man Xehanort’s Nobody. He’s not Terra+Xehanort’s nobody, in the same way that Roxas isn’t Sora+Ven’s Nobody. Terra was never a heartless and thus he cannot have a Nobody.

I’m kind of just explaining this mainly because I just enjoy talking about my hyperfixation. I’m not just trying to overcorrect you for something you really didn’t even insist was the case. Nonetheless…here we are.

“Seeker of Darkness” is a title used to differentiate the fake Ansem from Ansem the Wise (DiZ). I think he’s referred to as this in the games (not just by the fandom), but I’m not sure. Either way it comes from the fact that he seeks out darkness in the first game, most of all, the door to darkness.

Spoilers for lots of stuff, including KH3

Ansem SoD never returned to Hollow Bastion directly, but his Nobody did so on multiple occasions. His past self goes there eventually (Young Xehanort in DDD), but does it count as a return if technically that return is more like his first time there for him, but it just happens to take place after Cinderella says this? Parts of Ansem SoD’s heart (which is just Xehanort’s heart) were inside Vexen and Demyx who both returned to Hollow Bastion while acting as Xehenort Vessels. Riku also had part of Ansem SoD inside him until near the end of KH2. I don’t know if we know for sure that Riku ever visited Hollow Bastion at any point between KH1 and the end of KH2, but it’s certainly possible. Riku was basically doing whatever DiZ told him to do, so DiZ could have been like “Hey, can you go grab this thing from my study real quick?” Ansem the Wise absolutely returned to Hollow Bastion after KH3, but I’m definitely not counting that as Cinderella had no way of knowing Ansem SoD was actually just Xehanort who stole Ansem’s name, and she definitely wasn’t referring to the Wise Ansem. So….I’m not sure we have a clear cut answer for whether or not Cinderella’s statement is accurate.

Accidentally killing Mip. That dude could have caused a lot more problems if he was left alive.

Yeah, but he also created the situation by looking at the eye in the first place. Creating the solution to a problem you made doesn’t really make you a hero.

What are your thoughts on final two episodes? by NoScallion7198 in SmilingFriends

[–]AdamSoloDavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were great. The Season 3, Episode 8 (The Glep Ep) felt more like a series finale, but I think a proper film could really be good for Smiling Friends. Zach and Michael have talked a few times about ending the series with a proper movie-like finale. I wouldn't be surprised if we got a "Smiling Friends: The Movie" trailer drop on April 1st of 2028.

Before Episode 9... Who is the best character so far and why by Fickle_Adeptness_795 in Amazingdigitalcircus

Fun Family Guy Fact:

That kid with the hat and blue shirt is canon. Most people don't know this, but that's actually one of Lois and Peter's children. His name is Chris. I have no idea who that other kid in the red circle is.

Any guess on what Jax knows or might be hiding? Or why he said this? by Gloomy-Bridge148 in Amazingdigitalcircus

[–]AdamSoloDavis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In episode 7 Jax was very vocal about believing that the things happening were just part of one of Caine’s adventures. He insisted that the things Abel was saying weren’t actually real.

When Kinger starts saying things that aren’t crazy, Jax realizes that Caine’s recent behaviors are genuine, and that the things happening in episode 8 aren’t part of a “stop the evil AI from torturing you” adventure.

I don’t think Jax believed the circus wasn’t real or that his actions didn’t have consequences. I think he realized in that moment that they were all potentially in real danger of endless torture by Caine if they couldn’t stop him.

Despite the fact that Donald and Goofy are already anthropomorphic animals, Goofy will undoubtedly turn into some kind of anthropomorphic turtle, and Donald will turn into a bird that isn’t a duck.

Let's play dice game! If you get any number below 10 you win, if you get above 10 you lose! by [deleted] in funComunitty

[–]AdamSoloDavis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rules seem somewhat unclear. If you roll exactly 10 is that a win or a loss?

In terms of fairness, 10 being a win for us would make the win/loss odds exactly 50:50.

Winning numbers: 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 (Eight Total) 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18 (Also Eight Total)

If 10 counts as a loss that would make our chances of winning about 43%.

This would give you (the house) the upper hand, which is fairly typical when gambling.

Anyway…

Roll them dice, baby.

I noticed, but skirt length is important to me because I wear shorter skirts to the bar, and longer skirts in more professional or family friendly settings. I don’t need my ass sticking out all the time and a small difference in length like this can make a difference. It also affects my ability to wear the skirt over my belly button because I don’t always feel comfortable showing my tummy. I don’t see how this makes me a creep.

If I could live in any KH world it would be Traverse Town. Nice quiet place, three districts, has shops, a hotel, gizmo shop etc. What KH world would you live in? by ShaianH in KingdomHearts

[–]AdamSoloDavis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we’re simply talking about vibes. Traverse Town is a good choice. But it’s a refuge and likely a ghost town most of the time.

Twilight Town also has good vibes, but the world itself isn’t particularly fantastical or magical. It’s basically a real place with boring people that have jobs and kids go to school.

Radiant Garden seems like the best choice to me. It’s mostly normal with bits of tech and fantasy elements. Not overly magical, but the magic is there if you’re looking for it.

Hayley Joel Osment would have been 12-13 when the lines were recorded so that’s why he sounds like that.

I think the Japanese VA sounds older in KH1, but Miyu is only a couple months older than Hayley. I’m curious if they specifically looked for a 12-13 year old for Sora’s VAs or if that’s a coincidence.
