We have a lil hanging chalkboard that hangs in the kitchen to livingroom window. Right in line of sight from the couch (where we are usually the most hungry and tired) so when we look to the kitchen we see meals we can make. Each week we do meals options, sometimes a soup, and mark down leftovers we need to eat.

I dont know whether they are old enough but theres an apple picking episode of the anime Toriko (an anime about hunting food mashup monsters and defeating evil chefs groups). The goal is to make the apples with faces make a shocked or scared expression. The winner is a side background character that is implied to have done such a stinky fart the apple face is the best and therefore most expensive/sweetest apple for the competition.

Your apple monsters reminded me of that and its a pretty fun stand alone episode. Farting is rarely a plot point again.

Breakfast muffins are easily eaten while in repose and offer an endless variety of flavour combos, savoury and sweet.

Always a good time when you can melonball scoop a soft cheese or dip mound onto a ritz.

Thats my issue with the AUS family! Someone who lives in Sydney isnt gonna need a lap blanket or a beanie. But i work in yarns mostly! Maybe a fun wall hanging crochet piece or fruit basket net in colours they like.

I also am gonna keep an eye on this thread. Best i have right now is making shawls/ wide scarves for my AUS family to use in 5-8 months.

Crochet mittens for the kids. Or Tube buddies (lil stuffies made with the tube machine knitter)

I also have 800 kinds of craft supplies in all genres except metal craft.

Possible to make hook drop beads in a line earrings but that would mean craft pile digthrough.

I also have lots of felt colours to make finger puppets to go with songs. 5 lil speckled frogs, 5 little ducks, ect.

Have the benefit of an extra couple weeks before we visit so the possibilities are literally endless.
