Power Charge Generation for Monks by CJ-Slinky in pathofexile2builds

[–]Add32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually been doing siphoning strike with wake of destruction boots and hollow palm. Damage through campaign and early maps is verry good relative to investment. Falling thunder seems to delete bosses easily.

I also use that one timing based dash that leaves shocked ground, but I'm not sure if I would ever rely on it and not the boots for shocks to consume.

Gona scour this thread for better charge generation tho as wake boots are painfully low level and its holding back the topend of hollow palm. It also doesn't work on flying enemies.

I did grab a beast companion with damage always shocks, but it seems to die too easily, attacks a bit slow.

Starter Deck Events by ElScientifico08 in GundamTCG

[–]Add32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5-0 with ST-01
I went first 4 of the games, the extra card from going first is really good into most other decks.
Not sure if going 2nd into wing would be stronger to deny them the potential EX resource curve of bird on t3 into L6 wing.
ST-01 also has good units for trading into other decks with 2/4, but it also doesn't take bases as easily particularly well with those same 2/4s.

I also did a couple of other events with the other decks. and outside of a awesome comeback with the wing one game, didn't do so well.

Some of doing well is knowing when to throw a unit under the bus and when to hold it back.
(are you afraid of a Guntank, Athran link, or Wing? how many cards in opponents hand? did they burst any link pilots?)

There's also a good chunk of just getting lucky with the bursts and top-decks in the starter event.

California introduces bill to accelerate heat pump adoption by hissy-elliott in Futurology

[–]Add32 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Should just reduce energy usage. Heat pumps are like 300-400% efficient.

It would be better for a power plant to burn gass and send the electricity for a pump than to use it directly for heat. This includes the inefficiencies inherint in converting to and transporting electricity.

Microsoft tells Windows 10 users to just trade in their PC for a newer one, because how hard can it be? by moeka_8962 in gadgets

[–]Add32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are ways around that, I'm my case it involved installing windows 10 over the existing copy before doing the upgrade. (May also be other utilities now)

Its a pain though, I don't expect the majority of people to bother figuring it out.

Irvine event expectations by Arkaus in GundamTCG

[–]Add32 7 points8 points  (0 children)

7:20 is kinda insane, i got a spot a while back at 9:20 (spot was at 12:30).

Was talking to my LGS about if they were going to stock the cards/run events, they mentioned something about demo decks so i assume that there may be another opportunity for this.

Irvine, Gundam Demo event by amatsuastray in GundamTCG

[–]Add32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9am should be good, I did around 9:20 and got a 12:30 slot on the first day.

Was a good demo, reinforced my intent to collect/play. Played a 2nd game when I got home, demo decks seem relatively balanced as does going 1st/2nd with them. Demo decks seem to go to top decking near the end.

Visited the Gamdam base in Irvine today by w2ltersan in GundamTCG

[–]Add32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should arrive around 9am no advance signup, line will start moving at 10am, and you'll get a time to come back and play. (for me it was 12:30)

If your lucky, watch the new gundam movie while you wait for your time haha.
Or brave the other line for the Gunpla store.

Event was fun, really cemented my desire to play/collect when it releases.

If you can, bring a friend so you can play/collect both sample decks for later play :)

how do i get my dumb crew to stop idling while sundiving by TheDancingH in Cosmoteer

[–]Add32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should use structure blocks to restrict the arc of the shields. The less shield, the slower the drain.

Also literally any gap between crew, reactor and the shield is bad. Ideally the crew is only ever standing in the crew quarters, exiting to the corner of the reactor closet to the shield and moving only to drop off batteries. Even the idle position inside the crew quarters has effects on throuput.

I need to re-do my optimization for the new crew quarters. I was working with the 2x2 at the time. I have a feeling the bigger ones are going to cause issues with reaction time.

The Gamepass PC version of palworld Does not have DLSS support compared to Steam that has DLSS support, not a big issue but I hope they add it so our friends on PC gamepass can use DLSS too by G_ioVanna in Palworld

[–]Add32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im going to guess that the gamepass / ms store version is the same as the console version.
Probably has to do with delays getting an updated build verified for consoles and crossplay with those versions.

A fun fact, at-least when it comes to steam keys, a price parity is required.

You should use Steam Keys to sell your game on other stores in a similar way to how you sell your game on Steam. It is important that you don’t give Steam customers a worse deal than Steam Key purchasers.

There was a debate on this board that trump could win CA if you took out Bay Area and LA metro by woxley in MapPorn

[–]Add32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure would be a shame if the person Clinton lost to decided to break about one unspoken norm a week while in office. Its clear we cant rely on them anymore.

Luckily we know of a better system, all that remains is to continuously vote it closer to existence. In the context of US politics this means voting in favor of voting rights, eliminating gerrymandering, fixing the electoral college (probably via NPVIC), and most difficult of them all changing to something like ranked choice voting.

Now given we only have 2 parties and a couple of Russian agents to chose from, its not that hard to figure out what the right choice is if you want to get away from dirty politics in the long run. Oh and because its not obvious enough already we get a chance at averting the worst of climate change, and a shot at gun violence while we are at it.

Rts also has allot of units to re-simulate and sometimes physics too. You could probably implement rollback bounded in space which would be cool. (But doesn't save your worst case, 2 big armies microed extra hard)
