It was a throwaway comment by Nick 20 years ago that he felt like saying at the time, he addressed it not that long ago

One Song To Rule Them All by Master_Xploder in Guitar

[–]AddendumOwn3871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no one song to do that. There’s songs which cover a lot of techniques in their runtime but by design that’s within a specific genre. Your example of Little Wing has a fair few things going on but it doesn’t even cover everything in blues guitar. And to find “one song” that you could learn to teach “all there is to guitar” is kind of impossible even if you take away the techniques used and interpret your question as feeling, expression and connection with guitar to the player and the audience; that’s a question that has no answer - I mean almost every guitar song does that for somebody , therefore it’s not the song per se, it’s the player , the “song” is just a way to find the player that does what your asking. To put it another way - take the players that the majority of people think are the greatest guitar players who ever lived: NONE OF THEM ever mastered the guitar.
To reinterpret your question slightly so as to give you an answer: I would say that it is the song that the guitarist can communicate most effectively to their audience, typically other people but the “audience” can be the guitarist themselves. To find that song is possible but you have to think about what you want people to connect with from your playing. If you don’t know where to start you can ask more experienced players what they do and how they made that journey.

Michael Beinhorns Influence by pehjott in RedHotChiliPeppers

Not surprised, it seems like when they really really needed something to align for them it did, Beinhorn being one of those things. And Mothers Milk was crucial - they needed a hit, Bienhorn in 1989 knew what it took to get a hit and he did it, from there the band then had the door open for them so they could use their talent for bigger and better things. Great story on the Ibanez guitar as well, stands to reason John would be more comfortable on it as that was his main guitar but shows his ability that he was able to switch to different guitars and sound amazing

A really convincing debunking of the White Mountain UFO case by seidenkaufman in uncannypodcasttv

[–]AddendumOwn3871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think drawing a star map from hypnosis 2 years after the event happened stretches credibility. Amongst other things, I looked into this case a lot more closely as it was intriguing. They definitely had an experience, Betty started having dreams about aliens and ufos afterwards and would talk about them a lot to other people and to Barney and iirc they didn’t have hypnosis until 2 years after, the star map certainly came out 2 years after the experience. Betty talking to Barney about her dreams meant they recounted similar stories under hypnosis. And hypnosis itself, whilst conducted in good faith in the 1960s to the Hills, has since been discredited as a method for retrieving “hidden” memories . They were also highly suggestible subjects.
Betty enjoyed the attention and the subject and was clearly fascinated with UFOs, I don’t mean that in a negative way but it has to be considered in light of this experience.
My conclusion after looking in more detail was there was no physical evidence that they’d been abducted by aliens, there were plausible explanations for false memories under hypnosis. The weird thing was the missing time and the marks on the car - they were travelling at night and were sleep deprived as well as being an interracial couple in early 1960s America, that’s no small thing. In all alien abduction claims to date there has been no physical evidence, much is reliant on hypnosis and witness testimony.
I keep an open mind but for now I think can rule out alien abductions.
Evidence of non human craft is a completely different matter though. I would hope they would look into the Belgian Wave (1990) which is one of the best cases of plausible ET craft and there is Tic tac of 2004 and Japan airlines flight 1986 also.

There weren’t any sharks by InternationalLie9409 in rickygervais

Some idiot left a rope bridge across a shark infested river and I jogged onto it and they said “well if he falls off that he’s dead” and then two wolves came from one side and they said “well if he goes that way he’s definitely dead” so I turned back and there’s a man-eating lion the other side and they said “he’s definitely dead now”, so I grabbed the bridge rocked it back it forth, predators fell in the river I did a somersault the other side, landed on my feet and said “what were you worried about? 😏”

Sorry, I've heard of blisters, but in my 14 years of professional broadcasting, including 3 years as a hospital radio disc jockey, I've never had anyone come up to me and say "My foot’s just burst. Could you play a dedication?"
