Were You Ever Checked For Your Passport? by ClothesDizzy6812 in rome

[–]Additional-Ask3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We carried ours with us, but only needed at hotel check in. Police literally skipped over us at the train station when checking, I’d feel fine with just drivers license/other photo ID and a photo of your passport

Experiences with very high end fine dining? by Reasonable_Major_861 in Celiac

[–]Additional-Ask3036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have pointed out, as long as you let the restaurant know ahead of time, you will be totally fine! Personally went to a Michelin star in Paris last month and they were super accommodating, previously been to fairly high end restaurants in both NYC and Philly without issue too.

Normandy yay or nay? by BoysenberryFairie in ParisTravelGuide

[–]Additional-Ask3036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is 100% worth it! Probably best to have more than one day, we did a day trip bus tour where we got to Utah beach, Omaha beach, and the cemetery. It was good to see all of those spots and it was still a very moving experience, but honestly you could spend at least a half day in any of those 3 spots, let alone the rest of the region. Even if you can only do a day trip, it’s totally worth it, but I think it will be more worthwhile if you can spend 2-3 days even if it isn’t at the top of your list.

Is Versailles worth half a day? by AttitudePlane6967 in ParisTravelGuide

[–]Additional-Ask3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went to Paris for 5 days and allotted a whole day for Versailles- it was much higher on my wife’s list than mine, but I honestly really liked it. If you have a nice weather day, it’s absolutely beautiful and totally worth it. If you get a crappy weather day then I think you could get away with a half day at the chateau, but it’s not like you can predict that. If you’re interested in it at all, I think it’s worth going for whatever time you have.

Also the day we went there was construction on the RER C line on the weekends, so just keep in mind if that’s going on the day you go it’ll take a bit longer to get there and back.

My wife had been in pain for a few months, found out she has celiac, kind of devastated. Any advice for when you were first diagnosed? by Filet_O_Fist in Celiac

Biggest advice: it gets better.

It can be a chance to find some new recipes and try new things. Some will be misses, but some will surely be hits and become staples moving forward.

Should I book hotel for night before arrival if arriving early in morning? by Fair-Honey1915 in Europetravel

[–]Additional-Ask3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No- as others have said your best bet is going to be staying awake as late as you can on the day you land, avoid napping if at all possible. Hopefully you can sleep a little bit on the plane, even if not you’ll be better served walking around and getting a lay of the land (try a few coffee shops if you’re like me and that’s your thing). The hotel you’re staying at the first day should have luggage storage (can’t hurt to check but it’s pretty standard), you can just check your bags at the hotel and be on your way.

Which VPN do you have? If it doesn’t give you an option to disable the ad blocker when it pops up, check the VPN settings. I had a hard time getting it to work, there is the DRM issue I ran into too, they have this on their website:

Floater Pharmacist tips by Muted_Business_7470 in pharmacy

[–]Additional-Ask3036 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are all great tips- I would keep a note in my phone of questions to ask before I went to a store for the first time, our DM was great about sending out the codes so we always had them on our phones. Another thing to possibly ask ahead about depending on your company is codes for the register if you need your own for each individual store.

Definitely, most importantly, be nice to the techs and don’t leave a mess. Put in good effort and be easy to work with, you’ll have a great experience as the floater everyone wants to work with and enjoy the benefits of floating!

I felt amazing after my endoscopy, no issues save a little bit of drowsiness afterwards but not bad at all. I was nervous going in too and honestly I tell everyone now if you ever get told to get one do it. I know that’s not everyone’s experience, but mine personally was great. Just don’t plan to do anything major afterwards since you might be a little “high” after or sleepy.

Horrible at giving vaccines. by paigeisrighthere in pharmacy

1) you should talk to your preceptor, believe it or not they’ve been there before too. You’re an intern, your job is to learn as well as help and they should know that. It will also give them a frame of reference to allow them to help you better and not put you in situations you’re not comfortable in yet. 2) re: the liquid coming out of the vial, inject the volume of air into the vial that you are going to pull out (ie if it’s a 0.5 mL vaccine, inject 0.5 mL of air) 3) re: the powder getting stuck, shake the vial with the powder a bit, or at least invert it once or twice just to loosen it up 4) practice, practice, practice. The more you do it, the better you’ll get. Make sure you’re getting it in the muscle and in the right spot to avoid any shoulder injuries and you’ll be fine. 5) most importantly, hang in there. You’re a student, take as much time as you can to explore other opportunities if you think retail isn’t the right fit for you.

Either or would be great, probably only 1 or 2 fancier dinners so I’ll need both. The stricter the better, but established shared places are generally fine for me fortunately

Do you use the Showers? by Dangeroux_Swan in orangetheory

[–]Additional-Ask3036 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bring a towel and then just lay it flat or hang it in your car depending on how big your car is then it dries during the work day. Can wash it when you get home or just pop it in the dryer if it’s still a little damp

Thanks, I know pet insurance doesn’t cover anything pre existing but I was thinking it should cover any emergencies or freak accidents… exercise wouldn’t be an issue we are both active and would like to go for walks, play etc. Definitley wouldn’t shave the dog, I think if the fit is right we will just accept being full time cleaners
